Young Avengers, or Earth's Young Mightiest Champions named by Dr. Doom and the residents of the Void are the titular main protagonists of their own series of the same name and the central protagonists of The Marvel Universe NOW!!!. They are a team that are composed of super-powered kids, teens and young adults, even some of alien origins and royalty with special characteristics and abilities. Though primarily affiliated with the interests of the United States of America, the group's purpose was to protect global stability from inner, physical, extraterrestrial or multiversal threats. Unlike some other teams, they're an independent and private organization, depsite being currently funded by O.X.E.

History[]

Formation and other adventures[]

They were first assembled in early 2026 by Maria Hill and S.A.B.E.R., which consists of Kamala Khan, Peter Parker, Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, Riri Williams, Tommy and Billy Maximoff (with their souls and powers of the Westview Hex counterparts), Shuri, Joaquín Torres, G'iah, and Groot to battle the threat of Red Hulk, The Damage Control and The Dark Avengers to stop the coup. They continue to have numerous adventures, ranging from time-travel back to the 1980s to a team up with a multiversal version of Avengers assembled in the 1970s.

Project A.D.A.P.T.O.I.D. incident[]

In December of 2026, The group (while Joaquín is recovering from a accident involving a plane) are sent to deal with a terrorist plot at Rockweller Center, until a explosion blasts off a whole block, leading to President Sam (who was Captain America at the time) orders a state-wide manhunt on them, while on the run, they team up with a disgruntled Yelena Belova to find out that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and O.X.E. (with some Dark Avengers members) is creating a new synthezoid that has all of the powers of the Avengers with the head of the Mad Titan, Thanos, leading to his eventually reincarnation as The Super-Adaptoid, leading to a battle with Young Avengers, Yelena and President Sam Wilson/Captain America (before he passed the mantle and shield to Torres, his trusted ally since the Blip), which the heroes won, but not without some major repercussions (Sam is forced to step down as Captain America due to the public controversy, Maria Hill being court marshalled for her actions and her status of Secret Service director has been stripped).

A New Era[]

In early 2027, With Joaquín fully recovered from his injuries and as the new Captain America following Sam Wilson, the group is given a massive upgrade in the form of a new Helicarrier as their new headquarters and homebase, and Mecha-like Hulkbusters, they battle new threats like The American Kaiju, Nuke, Josh Miller's Mysterio, The Enforcers and Kingpin, The Young Masters, a group of John Walker zealots and Mister Fear, but gained new allies like The Fantastic Four, in which some of them have a internship and became their new mentors.

Newfound threats and more adventures[]

In the summer of 2027, The group are caught in a terrorist plot by Mysterio that sold Stark Industries and rebrand it to The Iron Federation, with addition to getting horribly mutated by the gamma-radiated nanites inside of him while getting powers, he wanted revenge on Sam Wilson for his imprisonment. The Young Avengers and A.E.R.S. worked together to free the real Avengers members and stop Mysterio from enacting his horrible plot, even if Ant-Man is hospitalized. The other half are successful in freeing the children and the Avengers while the other in their Hulkbusters fought Mysterio and what's left of his army alongside the free Avengers put an end to his plan, leaving his plan of conspiracy in vain, but their Hulkbusters got destroyed and beyond repair. After 1 month after that, the group faces a mutant crisis where Magneto and The Brotherhood of Mutants threatened to replace humanity with mutantkind, and barely survived when Kamala talks him out of his genocidal plan.

The Battleworld[]

In January 2028, Kamala became the Vice President via successful voting campaign and Shuri became Queen of the Golden Tribe, Wakanda, purchased and finish renovationing the Watchtower with O.X.E., thus becoming The Young Avengers' main central headquarters to dicuss recent fued with entitled lawmakers and ongoing crisis with Fantastic Four and X-Men, Johnny Storm warns them about the coming threats.

Vice President Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel[]

The leader and one of the three founding members of The Young Avengers of Mulism and Pakistani origin, she unlocked her latent mutant powers via a Quantum Band during a incident at New Jersey's Avengercon.

  • Appearance: the same as in The Marvels, but with minor differences, her outfit has Pakistani-Mulism elements and her mask from her first costume returns and she wears Vice President clothing during her VP run.

Peter Parker/Spider-Man[]

The web-slinging hero of New York, former Avenger and one of the three founding members of The Young Avengers who serve as Kamala's second in command. And thanks to a successful Runes of Kof-Kol spell casted by Wiccan (Hex Billy Maximoff inside of Earth-838 himself), everybody (aside from the Young Avengers, Avengers, and a few others) forget Peter Parker was Spider-Man, meaning that he can resume hero work, even in New York City.

Kate Bishop/Hawkeye[]

One of the three founding members of the Young Avengers, who's skilled in marksmanship and archery, and also Kamala's third in command who was the daughter of Eleanor Bishop who was arrested due to her association with The Kingpin, forcing her to operate as a hero and a member of The Young Avengers and inherent her family's wealth.

  • Appearance: the same as her original MCU Iteration, but she wears a O.X.E outfit that similar Earth-616 counterpart's outfit with hints of Red Room's Black Widows.

Cassie Lang/Stature[]

The daughter of Scott Lang/Ant-Man and the member of the Young Avengers who used a suit that's similar to her father's Ant-Man and Hope Van Dyne's Wasp suits.

  • Appearance: The same as in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but her Stature Suit is colored red in Resolution and beyond, the fur lining on her Converses is the ugly bunny doll that Scott gave her in her birthday.

Riri Williams/Ironheart[]

A former MIT student and the member of the Young Avengers who used an Iron Man-like suit of armor to fly around and fight (before coming a human-synthezoid hybrid during a team up with 1970s Avengers).

  • Appearance: As of What If...? Season 3/Transdimensional Avengers, where she's a synthezoid-human hybrid.
  • Species: Human-Synthezoid Hybrid

Tommy and Billy Maximoff/Wiccan and Speed (Earth-838)[]

The twin sons of Earth-838 Wanda Maximoff who were transferred to this timeline and grants powers of their Westview Hex counterparts (Tommy gains super-speed, which manifest as blurry, misty trails) while Billy gains Chaos Magic, which manifest as blue, glowing energy currents and makeshift from his hands).

Queen Shuri/Black Panther[]

The former princess (now queen) of the Golden Tribe, Wakanda, the daughter of late Queen Ramonda and late King T'Chaka, the young sister of the late T'Challa, and a member of The Young Avengers who assumes the role of Black Panther after her older brother passed away from a unknown illness and her mother died from drowning during Namor's ambush at Wakanda. She served as the team's technician/engineer and main fighter.

G'iah[]

The daughter of Talos and Soren, adoptive older sister of Kamala Khan, the former right-hand woman of Gravik, and the member of The Young Avengers who gained Harvest powers through the Super-Skrull Machine, she provide the group as the muscle alongside Groot.

  • Appearance: A younger version of Emilia Clarke's character from Secret Invasion miniseries and wearing a Kree Starforce Uniform that resembles Carol Davners' pre-Aldana Captain Marvel Uniform from The Marvels, but with brown eyes, but changed to a O.X.E uniform that resembles Ghost's second outfit from Thunderbolts* (2025).

The son of the deceased original Groot, adoptive son of Rocket Racoon, the former member of The Guardians of the Galaxy and member of the Young Avengers as the muscle.

Capt. Joaquín "Fanboy" Torres/Falcon/Captain America[]

A former United States Air Force intelligence officer and now Captain of the 547th Intelligence Squadron, first lieutenant, friend and ally of Sam Wilson who gained Sam Wilson' EXO-7 Falcon and later the mantle and the shield of Captain America, thus making Sam's sucessor of both mantles, and later became the team's tactical advisor, scout and aerial combat specialist.

  • Appearance: The same as in Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Captain America: Brave New World, abielt a bit younger and a little muscular with the surgical scar on his shoulder, middle finger surgically cut off on the left hand after the plane incident and his Captain America uniform has some noticeable changes and is based on Sam Wilson's Captain America uniform as seen in Falcon and the Winter Soldier and in the first half of Captain America: Brave New World (2021-5) also known as the Infiltration Suit, his primary colors for his uniform are red, white, and green with Aztec and Mayan elements, he wears a maroon military beret with the Young Avengers symbol emblazoned on it, The suit's chestplate has chainmail on the upper torso and shoulders, and the EXO-7 Falcon has been given a massive upgrade and is redesigned and the shield is recolored to resembles Sam's in the current comics.

  • Aristocrat Team: The team consists of wealthy (Kate Bishop, possibly $400 million) or royalty (Black Panther Shuri, $500 million).
  • Annoying Young Sibling: Tommy to older members, Joaquín, Shuri, and Kamala especially.
  • A Day in a Limelight: From Resolution and onwards, the group began to take threats to their world, very seriously.
  • Adaptional Badass: The group have moved up to 11 members, have vast wealth, connections and resources, and have mechanized Hulkbusters-like battlesuits (only to get destroyed beyond repair).

  • Character Development: From their confrontation with Red Hulk and The Dark Avengers, they went to a mocked team for being different to an beloved Avengers-level team with consistently good publicity status for being genuinely good heroes and doing the right things.
  • Costume Evolution: All of them have new suits and uniforms from their previous appearance, A 1 year later after their titular 4th project's post credits scene shows them all in new, higher upgraded quality outfits created by O.X.E. for different means (i;e G'iah to control her Harvest powers better) aside from Riri Williams (who got an new hairstyle and a cape).
    • Shuri upgraded her Panther Habit with Jabari Tribe's elements.
  • Crossover: The group crossed paths with Monsterverse's Godzilla and Kong, Team Sonic from the Paramount's Sonic series, The TF1's Autobots (Optimus Prime, Elita-One, and Bumblebee), the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, even has run-ins with The Loops Family in some points, Them reuniting in Fortnite as one of the Nexus Foundations with Kratos (a concept that is similar to animals role in nature) in the game's lore (aside from the Loops, since they're PBS Kids characters).
  • David Versus Goliath: The Young Avengers goes up against massive and tougher enemies like The Red Hulk, Galactus, Thanos/The Super-Adaptoid, The American Kaiju, Kingpin, Mysterio and Beyonder.

  • Crapsack World: Aside from the titular group, The Fantastic Four, X-Men and their allies, The Earth Post-Snap has become a bittelry mean-spirited, bigoted, hostile cesspool, especially The United States of America where heroes (aside from the Young Avengers) will be under heavy scrutiny by social media and politicians, aside for Congressman Barnes for trying to go good things, even to the point where they want villains to win, despite their evil intentions.
  • Found Family: G'iah became Kamala's adoptive older sister when Talos and Soren died at the hands of Gravik and his goons and The Young Avengers as a whole.
  • Loved by All: As of Resolution and Battleworld, the group are regarded as recent beloved celebrities than the current Avengers led by Carol (suffered a massive decline in popularity), judging by the crowds of people showing off merchandise (thanks to Tommy) and they get talk shows and podcasts, holding signs of support and admiration despite their controversies (especially Spider-Man's) and some mixed responses from the public and lawmakers, and cheering for them, it comes to the point where the X-Men, including Cyclops are their biggest admirers.
    • Fortunately, they don't rub it in some of their opponents nor The Avengers faces as they're genuinely nice group of people who wanted to make the world a better place.
  • Improbable Age: Kamala Khan is the Vice President of the United States of America and she's 16-17 years old.
  • Meaningful Appearance: Their current uniforms, rooms and gear.
    • Kamala's Ms. Marvel Uniform and Hulkbuster has Pakistani-Mulism elements, given her heritage.
    • Joaquin's Cap gear is colored red, white and red with Aztec/Mayan elements, and wear a U.S Air-Force Captain beret on his head, given his Mexican heritage and military background as a Captain of the US Air-Force. His favorite movies are The Top Gun movies, Full Metal Jacket, Rambo, Commando, and Platoon, since they're both 80s military movies.
    • Spider-Man's equipment is spider-themed.
    • Tommy and Billy's mech has theme of speedster and wizard, given that they're the children of The Scarlet Witch.
    • Cassie's Converses on her Stature Suit has elements of her ugly bunny doll when she got it for her 6th birthday.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Usually, when the Young Avengers fight, there's quips, jokes, flashy takedowns, and trying to equate with their foe. But during the final confrontation with Mysterio, it had none of that, in fact, no one was talking at all. Also their attacks were more brutal, aggressive and efficient than usual, which shows just how genuinely enraged and horrified they all are with Mysterio for everything that he did, Kamala and Cassie instigates this by dropping their usual quirky, and nice attitude and very clearly planning on wanting to killing him on the spot, once they find out what Mysterio do to the people close to them.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: Thanks to Billy's memory wiping spell, Everbody (aside from his teammates, Aunt May, and a few others heroes) forget that Spider-Man (a popular but controversial vigilante and superhero) and Peter Parker (a former unpopular nerdy, geeky high school student and a pathetic nobody) are one in the same and his teammates did everything in their power to keep his identity extremely under-wraps.
  • Spiritual Successor: They felt more like the Disney's verison of Planeteers mixed with Power Rangers and Teen Titans, but without their rings and Captain Planet himself, but with mechas and superpowers, but more well-written and effectively more competent than the Planeteers.
  • Speed, Smarts, and Strength: Tommy and Joaquín (with his gear) are the fastest, Kamala, Riri, Peter, Billy, Shuri, Cassie and Kate are more smarter, and Groot and G'iah are physically stronger.
  • Similar Squad: To the Avengers' founding and later members in different iterations.
    • Kamala and Peter are this team's versions of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, abielt more stable and healthy than their counterparts.
    • The Maximoff twins are basically a alternate verison of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, if Quicksilver survives.
    • Shuri takes up his brother's mantle as The Black Panther in other media with hints of M'Baku.
    • Cassie Lang is the team's sizeshifter just like her father, Scott Lang.
    • Riri ends up being the team's Vision.
    • Kate Bishop and Joaquín Torres are the equivalent of Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton, in terms of Normal Badass.
