We know that Alvin and the Chipmunks were created by Ross Badgasarian, Sr. in 1958 for a novelty record. But what if they were part of the Mickey Mouse universe? This is how it could've turned out.

Changes[]

  • The characters would've been created as a collaboration between Walt Disney and Ross Badgasarian, Sr. in 1958.
  • The Chipmunks would've been friends to Mickey and Goofy, enemies to Donald, and rivals to Chip and Dale.
  • The Chipettes would've been created in 1963 (5 years after the Chipmunks were created) as love interests to the Chipmunks, friends to Minnie, enemies to Donald, and rivals to Chip and Dale.
  • Dave would've been Disney's competitor with Warner Bros.'s Granny due to the fact that both of them own animals.
  • The characters would also appear in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?.
  • The Chipmunk Adventure would've been created and animated at Walt Disney Feature Animation as the 27th Disney animated feature.
  • The film franchise would begin as a 2D traditionally-animated direct-to-video spin-off of the Mickey Mouse franchise named "Dave Seville and the Chipmunks", produced by Bagdasarian Productions, LLC and DisneyToon Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Home Video (now Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment) in 1990, until 1999 when it expanded into a whole film franchise.
    • Walt Disney Pictures would've handled distribution to the films instead of 20th Century Fox.
  • The personality of the characters would've been much different from today's standards, though that Dave would still yell "ALVIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNN!" whenever Alvin does something bad.
  • The characters would've featured in most of Mickey Mouse series.
  • ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks would be flash-animated instead of CGI-animated, and would've instead been produced by Disney Television Animation and aired on Disney Channel.
    • Disney Television Animation would also handle current distribution rights to the 1983 series.
