For those who don't remember Heather O'Rourke, She played Carol Anne Freeling in The Poltergeist movies. And starred in twelve shows and won a Young Artist Award for her performance in Webster, Yet however this didn't last long for her as she died in 1988 due to a sickness and cardiac arrest. But imagine this,, What if she did get cured from the sickness and was alive from the cardiac arrest and what films and TV shows would she have starred in. What if Heather O'Rourke was still alive? Let's investigate. (And FYI I'm going to start off for the year she passed February 1st 1988.)
Biography
On January 31, 1988, O'Rourke began exhibiting flu-like symptoms. The following morning she collapsed in her home, and was rushed to Community Hospital in El Cajon. En route, she suffered cardiac arrest, but paramedics were able to restart her heart at 9:25 a.m.[19] She was subsequently flown to the Children’s Hospital of San Diego,[19] where it was discovered she had intestinal stenosis and went into emergency surgery. She survived the surgery but suffered another cardiac arrest whilst being transferred to the recovery room. Doctors performed CPR for over 30 minutes, but at 2:43 p.m. Doctors used a defibrillator to get her to stay alive. After the third try she woke up and was alive. Doctors were relived she was alive as they took her to the recovery room and tell their mom and dad she was gonna be okay.
After recovering from the hospital Heather was starting to be recognized more in film and tv, She would be on the cover of TV Guide for an interview on Poltergeist III She would go on to lend the voice of Cera for Don Bluth's The Land Before Time, And would make her first appearance on Sesame Street.
In 1989 Heather would star in Uncle Buck with Macaulay Culkin and John Candy and being one of the runner ups to voice Ann Marie for All Dogs Go To Heaven,
