Vampirina is a 2021 American animated adventure comedy fantasy horror film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for distribution by Walt Disney Pictures. It was directed and co-produced by Andy Muschietti in his animation directorial debut with Muschietti, Chris Nee, John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich as executive producers and written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, Maya Forbes and Wallace Wolodarsky. It is based on the children's show of the same name and the children's book Vampirina Ballerina by Anne Marie Pace. The show’s original cast reprise their while featuring new characters voiced by Seth MacFarlane, Trey Parker, John Ratzenberger and Charlie Day. The film was released on October 22, 2021 and was a critical and commercial success. It received universal acclaim from both critics and audiences for its animation, humor, voice acting, story and musical score and grossed $679 million on a $120 million budget. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 94th Academy Awards.
