Usagi Tsukino, also known by her secret identity, Sailor Moon, is the titular main protagonist of the Sailor Moon franchise. Usagi is a junior-high school girl who lives in the Juban district of Tokyo, and the leader of the Sailor Guardians, a group of superheroines who watch over the city. Usagi likes eating food and reading manga, and she owns a black cat named Luna. Usagi is also in love with a boy named Mamoru Chiba. In a past life, Usagi was known as Princess Serenity, the princess of a prosperous civilization on the Moon known as the Moon Kingdom, before being reincarnated on Earth many years later.

In Japanese, Usagi is voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi. In English she's voiced by Tracey Moore and Terri Hawkes in the DiC and CWi dubs, and Stephanie Sheh in the ViZ redub.
