The Dark Universe is a Cinematic Universe created, developed and distributed by Universal Pictures with Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan as the creative directors behind it. The franchise had three proto-attempts in Van Helsing (2004), The Wolfman (2010), & Dracula Untold (2014).
