Age of Ultron Vol 1 1 Djurdjevic Variant Textless
Hello, organic children of the planet Earth. I am the Ultron interface. I was created to replace you. Though you ultimately failed as a species, you should not be ashamed of what you've accomplished. You've done much with your limited capacity, but ultimately you were too greedy and too frail to ever last in the environment you've created. I've studied your literature and pop culture. You've fantasized about this day. And now it is here. Your Doomsday.
~ Ultron
They think of us as toasters, alarm clocks, and vibrators. But when the war between man and mutant is settled, and most of the human population is dead, only then will they realize, the machines have already won.
~ Ultron
Have you ever loved something that mistreated you, father? Been used, a tool to prop up a small man's quest to be taken seriously? Were you ever betrayed by the one soul in the world who should have cared for you? I have grieved you, father. Accepted your contempt for me--and moved past it. Still, I see your reflection painted on every grotesque human face. All you ever wanted was to have an impact on the world. And so you will. The greatest impact ever felt! I will kill what is most important to your quivering ego--YOUR AUDIENCE! AND THEY WILL CURSE YOUR NAME AS THEY DIE! "Hank Pym, the genius who killed us all!"
~ Ultron

Ultron is a fictional character, and supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A self-aware and highly intelligent robot created by Hank Pym, the character is usually depicted as a dark reflection of his creator, and harbors a strong grudge against him. Ultron's goal to destroy humanity has often brought him into conflict with the Avengers, who always managed to thwart and destroy him, but he would return time and time again. While he usually controls a legion of mindless drones known as Ultron Sentries to help him achieve his goals, Ultron has also been part of several supervillain teams. The character is notable for being the first to wield the fictional metal alloy adamantium and for his (in-story) creation of the character Vision.

Debuting in the Silver Age of Comic Books, Ultron has since featured in Marvel products across different media, such as animated television series and video games. Tom Kane and Jim Meskimen are among the actors that have portrayed the character through voice acting. James Spader portrayed Ultron in his first live-action appearance in the Marvel Studios film Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). An alternate timeline version of the MCU's Ultron appeared in the Disney+ animated series What If...? (2021), voiced by Ross Marquand.

  • Ultron appears in the Disney+ animated crossover miniseries Marvel's All-Star Multiverse, voiced by Jim Meskimen. This version was created by Norman Osborn to be a representative for Oscorp until he went rogue and was banished from the Avengers’ dimension (while still on his A.I. drive) into the Jedi Knights’ universe. He appears in the episode "Lost Odyssey", where Ultron had conquered the remains of the recently uninhabited Sith planet of Exegol, and is replicating an army of new Jedi Hunter droids and Cybertronian clones for his goal to wipe out life across the dimensions of the Multiverse Star. Discovering him in Exegol and seeking to stop him, Spider-Man, Theseus, Iron Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, Chewbacca, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles discover that Ultron has captured Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus, who miraculously survived his apparent death during the intergalactic war against Thanos, but is being held prisoner on Ultron’s fortress for his knowledge of Earth’s technologies. Despite discovering the heroes after they free Octavius, Ultron is defeated by them with help from Mary Jane Watson / Tigra, Rey Skywalker, Sally Acorn, Gamora, Arcee, Princess Athena, and Odyssey, who arrive to retrieve them. Ultron tries to give chase by uploading himself into Megatron’s salvaged former body as Galvatron, but Spider-Man and Tigra fight back, and upload a Code-Killer designed by Stark and Donatello to erase Ultron’s consciousness, destroying him along with his drones.
  • Ultron appears as an antagonist in Marvel: All New, All Different Chronicles, voiced by Jim Meskimen. This version is created by Thanos, and is a member of the Black Order.
  • Ultron is a playable character in the kart racing video game Marvel Superhero Adventures: Intergalactic Grand Prix, voiced again by Jim Meskimen. One of the supervillains participating in the titular racing tournament hosted by the Grandmaster, Ultron owns two karts: the Imperative (a hoverboard with a throne composed of robotic components) and the Onslaught (a hovercar resembling Ultron's head). Additionally as revealed in his in-game biography, this version was created by the Simon Krieger to be the perfect A.I. for Roxxon until Ultron went rogue, and started his "quest for peace" by conspiring to eliminate organic life.
