The product is part of Konami's "Anniversary Collection" series, celebrating the company's 50th anniversary (and also TwinBee's 35th anniversary), with the other compilations being Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, Contra Anniversary Collection, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Anniversary Collection, Gradius Anniversary Collection and Ganbare Goemon Anniversary Collection.
Features[]
All games in the collection have been announced to be enhanced with modern features alongside online play for some titles (especially arcade ones).
The package also includes a bonus e-book packed with new information about the titles, including interviews with the development staff, behind-the-scenes insights and sketches/documents never before revealed to the public.

Development[]
Like fellow Gradius games, TwinBee was removed on Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection for it's own collection in a new patch released exactly the same day as TwinBee Anniversary Collection's release.
The original Japanese versions of selected remaining titles, plus Japanese scans from the bonus e-book, were released in a post-launch update at a same day shortly after it's release.
This collection, along with other Konami Collections would feature Amiibo support for the Digital and Physical releases in an update on December 2020. A special release comes with all episodes of TwinBee PARADISE on a DVD disc alongside new language dubs/subtitles like in Ganbare Goemon Anniversary Collection.
