Plot[]

In the Pride Lands of Africa, a pride of lions rules over the animal kingdom from Pride Rock. King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi present their newborn son, Simba, to the gathering animals by Rafiki the mandrill, the kingdom's shaman and Jerry the cute young brown mouse with a white diaper.

Mufasa shows Simba and Jerry the Pride Lands and explains to him the responsibilities of kingship and the "circle of life," which connects all living things. Mufasa's younger brother, Scar and his henchman named Tom the evil adult greyish blue cat, covets the throne and plots to get rid of Mufasa, Simba and Jerry so that he may become king. He tricks Simba, Jerry and their best friend Nala into exploring a forbidden elephants' graveyard, where they are chased by three hyenas named Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. Mufasa is alerted by his majordomo, the hornbill Zazu, and rescues the cubs and Jerry. Though upset with Simba and Jerry, Mufasa forgives them and explains that the great kings of the past watch over them from the night sky, from which he will one day watch over Simba and Jerry. Meanwhile, Scar and Tom visits the hyenas and convinces them to help him overthrow Mufasa in exchange for hunting rights in the Pride Lands.

Scar and Tom sets a trap for his brother, nephew and Jerry, luring Simba and Jerry into a gorge and having the hyenas drive a large herd of wildebeest into a stampede that will trample him. He informs Mufasa of Simba and Jerry's peril, knowing that the king will rush to save his son and friend. Mufasa saves Simba and Jerry but ends up hanging perilously from the gorge's edge. Scar and Tom refuses to help Mufasa, instead sending him falling to his death. They then convinces Simba and Jerry that the tragedy was Simba and Jerry's own fault and advises them to leave the kingdom and never return. They orders the hyenas to kill the cub and the mouse, but Simba and Jerry escapes. Scar and Tom tells the pride that the stampede killed Mufasa, Simba and Jerry and steps forward as the new king, allowing the hyenas' clan to live in the Pride Lands.

Timon and Pumbaa, a meerkat and warthog, rescue Simba and Jerry, who has collapsed in a desert. Simba grows up with his three friends in their oasis, living a carefree life under the motto "hakuna matata" ("no worries" in Swahili). A grown-up Simba rescues Jerry, Timon and Pumbaa from a hungry lioness, who turns out to be Nala. She and Simba reunite and fall in love, and she urges him to return home, telling him that the Pride Lands have become a drought-stricken wasteland under Scar and Tom's reign. Still feeling guilty over his father's death, Simba refuses and storms off. He encounters Rafiki, who tells him that Mufasa's spirit lives on in Simba. Simba is visited by the ghost of Mufasa in the night sky, who tells him that he must take his rightful place as king. Realizing that he can no longer run from his past, Simba decides to return to the Pride Lands.

Aided by his friends, Simba and Jerry sneaks past the hyenas at Pride Rock and confronts Scar and Tom. Scar taunts Simba over his role in Mufasa's death and backs him to the edge of the rock, where he reveals to him that he murdered Mufasa. Enraged, Simba forces him to tell the truth to the rest of the pride. Timon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Zazu, and the lionesses fight the hyenas while Scar and Tom, attempting to escape, is cornered by Simba and Jerry at a ledge near the top of Pride Rock. Scar and Tom begs for mercy and attempts to blame their crimes on the hyenas; Simba and Jerry spares their lives but orders them to leave the Pride Lands forever. Scar refuses and attacks his nephew and Tom attacks Jerry, but Simba and Jerry throws them off the cliff after a brief fight. Scar and Tom survives the fall but gets attacked and mauled to death by the hyenas, who overheard his attempt to betray them. Afterward, Simba takes over the kingship and makes Nala his queen.

With the Pride Lands restored to its usual state, Rafiki presents Simba and Nala's newborn cub to the assembled animals while Jerry falls in love with his girlfriend named Cherie the beautiful young light brown mouse, continuing the circle of life.

Characters[]

Tom Cat: A greedy adult greyish blue cat, who is Jerry's rival. In this movie, he is one of Scar's Henchmen along together with the Hyenas and the other Evil Alley Cats who takes the Pridelands.
Jerry Mouse: A cute young brown mouse with a white-diaper. In this movie, he is Simba's friendly mouse along together with Nala, Mufasa, Sarabi, Sarafina and Zazu at the Priderock.
Cherie Mouse: A beautiful young light-brown mouse with a blue bow around her neck and she is Jerry's girlfriend. In this movie, she kisses with her boyfriend Jerry at the end of the film.
Simba: Is the son of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi and destined to be king and Jerry's friend.
Nala: Is the daughter of Sarafina, the best friend later the wife of Simba and a good friend of Jerry.
Mufasa: Is the mate of Queen Sarabi, the brother of Scar, the father of Simba, the King of the Pride Lands and a good friend of Jerry. He is shown after his death to continue to live on in spirit, still able to communicate.
Sarabi: Is the mate of Mufasa, the mother of Simba, the Queen of the Pride Lands and a good friend of Jerry and is shown to be kind caring yet outspoken for rightness
Sarafina: Is the mother of Nala and a close friend of Sarabi and a good friend of Jerry.
Rafiki: Is a wise mandrill and shaman, a close friend of King Mufasa and a good friend of Jerry. He is shown presenting the King's young son Simba to the Pridelanders.
Zazu: Is the majordomo of King Mufasa and was often the babysitter of young Prince Simba, his friend Nala and a good friend of Jerry. During Scar's reign, he was imprisoned and forced to sing for Scar.
Gopher: Is the gopher assistant of Zazu.
Timon and Pumbaa: Are a meerkat and warthog duo and are shown to follow a problem free philosophy called "Hakuna Matata" which they teach on Simba and Jerry once they took him in.
Scar: Is the younger brother of King Mufasa, the uncle of the future king Simba, Tom the Alley Cats and the Shenzi, Banzai and Ed's Boss. He is shown to be extremely jealous of his brother and desperately wanting to be king.
Shenzi, Banzai and Ed: Are a trio of hyenas who live in the Outlands and vend for themselves and are great enemies of the Pride Lands though the jealous Scar and Tom are a secret ally with them.
Butch Cat, Meathead Cat, Lightning Cat and Topsy Cat: are the Alley Cats. In this movie, they are Scar's Henchmen along with Tom and the Hyenas who takes over the Pridelands.
