Tom & Jerry is an 2022 American television series created by Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone. The show is a classic reboot to the 1940s franchise of the same name created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.

The series follows around Tom Cat & Jerry Mouse (William Hanna, Rich Danhakl, Frank Welker) pulling up fancy hijinks, chasing, cartoon logic and much more, but Tom must be careful for Spike (Rick Zieff) who can beat him up anytime and anywhere with new and old characters like Tuffy (Kath Soucie), Butch (Joey D’Auria), and many more

The show made it’s debut on HBO Max and Cartoon Network with Tom and Jerry In The Big City. A second season has been announced and is now in development.

Tom & Jerry are back in this epic cartoon series doing their normal stuff, pulling fancy hijinks, chasing, cartoon logic and much more. But Tom must be careful for Spike who can beat him up anytime witn new and old characters like Tuffy, Butch, Toots, and more.

Development[]

In 2019, Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone annouced plans for an Animated classic reboot of the 1940-1958 Tom & Jerry cartoons. Production of the show began remotely at home in 2020. The show’s animation would be done by Framestore, who had done the animation on the 2021 film of the same name with help from Warner Bros. Animation.

Casting[]

Brandt and Cervone casted Rich Danhakl and Frank Welker as Tom & Jerry with William Hanna doing most of the screams and grunts through archive recordings. They also cast Tiffany Haddish as Mammy Two Shoes, who once voiced her in the 2013 film of the same name. They also hired Rick Zieff reprising his role as Spike, Welker as his son Tyke, Kath Soucie as Tuffy, Kari Wahlgren as Toots, Joey D'Auria as Butch and Droopy, Sam Lavagnino as Tyke’s speaking voice, Jess Harnell as Robby, and Elsie Fisher as Abby with Seth MacFarlane as the narrator.
