Tiger Territory in Sumatran Tiger Den[]
(A 25-Minute Educational Presentation)
Setting: Indoor Circus Cage/Presentation Area at the Sumatran Tiger Den, SeaWorld Orlando.
[00:00 - 02:44] Introduction Sequence[]
(Lights dim. The massive screen behind the stage lights up with stunning, high-definition footage of Asian wildlife.)
(Visuals include majestic Asian Elephants bathing, the vibrant display of Indian Peacocks, a rare glimpse of Indian Rhinos, and various other Asian species, showcasing the rich biodiversity of the tiger's home.)
(Music: Introduction music plays - 2 minutes and 44 seconds of instrumental track)
(At the 2:44 mark, the music crescendos and abruptly stops. The screen is filled with a close-up, slow-motion shot of a magnificent tiger roaring, with the powerful roar sound effect echoing through the theater.)
[02:44 - 03:00] Trainer's Opening[]
TRAINER: (Energetically, steps into the spotlight) Welcome, everyone, to the Sumatran Tiger Den! We are so excited to have you join us for Tiger Territory! For the next 25 minutes, we are going to learn about one of the world’s most powerful, endangered, and beautiful predators: the Sumatran Tiger! But first, I have two very special friends joining me, and they are both passionate about protecting these incredible cats!
(The Trainer steps aside and gestures toward a backstage entrance.)
TRAINER: Say hello to George Boggs and Iris, the friends who love tigers!
[03:00 - 08:30] Segment 1: Meet the Tiger Friends & Sumatran Tiger 101[]
(George Boggs and Iris (Unova) run out, waving to the crowd. Iris is dressed in her typical outfit, and George is wearing a safari vest.)
IRIS: Wow, what a crowd! Hi, everyone!
GEORGE BOGGS: Welcome to Tiger Territory! I'm George, and this is my best pal, Iris. We are so excited to be here with this amazing trainer!
TRAINER: The pleasure is all mine! Now George, Iris, we’re standing right next to our Sumatran Tiger habitat. Can either of you tell our guests what makes the Sumatran tiger so special?
IRIS: I can! Sumatran tigers are the smallest tigers in the world! They live on only one island in Indonesia: Sumatra!
GEORGE BOGGS: And they are critically endangered! That means they are very, very close to being gone forever. Only a few hundred are left in the wild! Their stripes act like camouflage in the jungle so they can sneak up on their prey!
TRAINER: Exactly! And that’s why places like SeaWorld Orlando are so important. We're part of a worldwide effort to protect these animals through the Species Survival Plan. Every tiger here contributes to a future for the species. Speaking of which, let’s talk about that famous roar!
IRIS: It’s so loud! It can be heard for miles! It’s how they communicate across the massive jungle.
GEORGE BOGGS: And even though they are huge and powerful, they are also excellent swimmers! They love the water!
TRAINER: That's right! Now, let’s move into our main demonstration...
[08:30 - 16:30] Segment 2: Tiger Encounter and Enrichment[]
TRAINER: This section is based on the incredible shows from Tiger Topia Sriracha Zoo, focused on the bond and respect between humans and tigers. You’ll see how we use positive reinforcement to build trust and encourage natural behaviors.
(The Trainer directs the audience's attention to the main viewing area, where Sumatran Tigers are now visible. A second trainer, or an assistant, may enter the habitat to safely set up enrichment items.)
TRAINER: Meet (tiger name)/and/or (tiger names)! (tiger name) and/or (tiger names) is/a/our magnificent Sumatran tiger/tiger. Watch as we use a special toy, something like a giant ball, to encourage his/her/their natural stalking and pouncing instincts. This isn't just a trick; it's essential enrichment to keep his/her/their mind and body sharp!
IRIS: (Watching the tigers interact with the toy) He's/She’s/They're so focused! She looks like he's/she’s/they're hunting in the jungle!
GEORGE BOGGS: Check out how powerful his/her/their legs are when he/she/they leaps/leap! That's pure muscle!
TRAINER: (As the tigers successfully "catch" the toy) Wonderful job, (tiger name)and/or (tiger names)! See how much he/she/they loves/love to play? Play is learning for a tiger, and it's a great demonstration of his/her/their amazing agility.
(The presentation continues with a brief demonstration of basic behavior cues—like standing up or moving to a specific spot—using positive reinforcement and food rewards.)
TRAINER: Our goal is to make sure (tiger name) and/or (tiger names) is/are healthy and happy. By understanding his/her/their needs, we can help protect his/her/their cousins in the wild.
IRIS: It’s all about helping them survive! It takes a lot of hard work and love!
GEORGE BOGGS: We all have to do our part to save the tigers!
[16:30 - 20:00] Segment 3: Conservation Call to Action[]
TRAINER: Now that you’ve seen the tigers up close, let's talk about how you can help. Every choice you make, from what you buy to what you eat, can affect these animals.
IRIS: Look for the sustainable palm oil label! Palm oil is in so many foods and products, and rainforest is cleared to grow it—destroying the tigers' homes! Choose sustainable!
GEORGE BOGGS: And tell your friends and family! Awareness is the first step in conservation! The more people who care, the better chance the tigers have.
TRAINER: You got it. Thank you, George and Iris, for that vital message.
[20:00 - 23:30] Grand Finale: Roar Along![]
TRAINER: We’re coming up on our grand finale! We’ve learned so much about the Sumatran tiger, and now it’s time to find our inner tiger!
(The lights brighten and the music begins to build.)
TRAINER: We want you to join George and Iris for a massive ROAR-ALONG! Get ready to move and make some noise!
(Music: The main part of Alex On The Spot begins playing. George and Iris start doing simple, fun dance moves, encouraging the audience to follow.)
IRIS: Come on, everyone! It’s time to dance like a tiger hunting in the jungle! Stomp your feet! Swing your arms!
GEORGE BOGGS: Now, we need the most powerful tiger sound in the whole Tiger Den! Let’s hear you ROAR!
(The music pauses slightly as George and Iris cup their hands around their mouths.)
IRIS: ROAR! That’s it! Louder! We’re shaking the whole Tiger Den!
GEORGE BOGGS: Roar again! ROAR!
(The audience roars again, and the music swells back up as George and Iris conclude their energetic dance moves with the audience.)
(Music fades out at the 23:30 mark.)
[23:30 - 25:00] Final Goodbye[]
TRAINER: Fantastic! That was an incredible roar, everyone! I think we definitely have some future tiger ambassadors in the audience!
GEORGE BOGGS: Thank you all for joining us for Tiger Territory!
IRIS: Keep roaring for the tigers! Remember to help save their habitat!
TRAINER: George Boggs, Iris, thank you for sharing your passion! And thank you, everyone, for visiting the Sumatran Tiger Den. Your visit supports our conservation efforts right here at SeaWorld.
(The Trainer, George, and Iris wave goodbye.)
TRAINER: Please exit safely toward the main walkway. We hope to see you again soon!
(The viewers begin to leave the indoor circus cage/presentation area.)
