Thriller Night is a 7-minute length halloween-themed short film. It's a parody of 1982's Michael Jackson's music video Thriller directed by Charles M. Schulz-- released by Paramount Home Entertainment on September 24, 2006, Warner Home Video on September 25, 2006, Buena Vista Home Entertainment on October 21, 2006, and Windows Media Center on August 23, 2012.
Plot[]
The special starts with Charlie Brown (Spencer Robert Scott) bursting out of the talent show from school in fear, followed by the Peanuts Gang who are all good. Sally (Sierra Marcoux) checks is Charlie Brown is all right and he replies that he actually wanted to see something scary because it’s Halloween.
As Charlie Brown leaves, Snoopy and Woodstock (John Ratzenberger) cheer up Charlie Brown by singing Thriller (by Michael Jackson). They start walking down the street (with Charlie Brown being proud of Snoopy singing the song.), and they all start singing. Woodstock (who plays as Vincent Price) tags behind and points to a cemetery where many cameo characters rise from the dead: This includes Link (Jonathan Potts {from The Legend of Zelda}), Jimmy Neutron (Debi Derryberry) and Goddard (Frank Welker {uncredited} {from Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius/The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius}), Blossom (Cathy Cavadini), Bubbles (Tara Strong), and Buttercup (E.G Daily {from The Powerpuff Girls} {who were out of Chemical X}), Dexter (Christine Cavanaugh {from Dexter’s Laboratory}), Ed (Matt Hill), Double D (Samuel Vincent), and Eddy (Tony Sampson {from Ed, Edd n Eddy}), Dry Bowser (Kenneth W. James {from New Super Mario Bros. DS 2006}), Sonic The Hedgehog (Jaleel White {from Sonic series}) and Squidward Tentacles (Rodger Bumpass {from SpongeBob Squarepants}). Everyone surrounds Charlie Brown and his friends (who is getting ready for a Zombie karate fight). Squidward starts playing the clarinet. Upset, Charlie Brown tells Sally it’s time to leave, but when she turns around she has now become a zombie, much to his horror. He is also terrified to see that Snoopy, Woodstock, and the gang have also become zombies. Everyone starts to dance and so does Charlie Brown (against his will). Singing finally follows, led by Snoopy.
At the end of the song, Charlie Brown manages to break Squidward’s clarinet, complaining that it will be a pain in the morning. As he turns around, he sees all of the cartoon characters (from Nintendo, Sega, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, and DiC {zombified}) approaching him to kill him. Snoopy then acts like a pirate as he and the others close on Charlie Brown, preparing to eat his brains.
Charlie Brown wakes up screaming and it is shown that he is really back in the auditorium, and it revealed that he was dreaming the whole time. He asks if it’s over: unfortunately, Lucy (Stephanie Patton) tells him that he only slept through the previews and Linus (Benjamin Bryan) says he has 3 more hours of cowboys, pirates, and vikings, much to Charlie Brown’s distress and he shouts out a big “NO!”
Right before that short film ends, Snoopy appears from the black background laughing evily (also similar to Vincent Price).

Trivia[]
- A CGI Animated version of Peanuts' short film was added in Luigi’s Mansion on October 31, 2006 for Nintendo Gamecube, and November 11, 2006 for the Windows Media Center for Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.
- This is the very last Peanuts video to be released on VHS.
- There is evidence that Charlie Brown was just dreaming in the auditorium: the cameo characters who actually almost died in any of the previous installments were zombies, which doesn't make any sense.
- In New Super Mario Bros. (2006) for Nintendo DS, Bowser fell into the lava and completely turned into Dry Bowser, so it would have been impossible to bury him.
- In the episode of Knock it off, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup's Chemical X is drained by Professor Dick, and now they revived themselves again after Professor Utonium replenishes all of their Chemical X.
- In Operation Z.E.R.O, Sector V (with the exceptions of Numbuh 1), Numbuh 60, Numbuh 86, Numbuh 362, Mr. Boss, Stickybeard, Knightbrace, and Toilenator became Senior Citi-Zombies, and now they turned back to normal.
- In the episode of Take This Ed And Shove It, Ed, Double D, Eddy, Jonny 2x4, Jimmy, Sarah, Kevin, Nazz, and Rolf are 100-110 years old.
- In the VeggieTales episode of Rack, Shack & Benny, Shadrach (Bob), Meshach (Junior), and Abednego (Larry) would have been burned in the fiery furnace, and Mr. Nezzer tells them to get out.
- In the SpongeBob SquarePants episode of Reef Blower, Squidward Tentacles almost suffocated to death but the reef blower explodes due to overcapacity and shoots all the water sucked up back out again.
- Other Cameo Characters portrayed as zombies who never died were Jimmy Neutron, Carl Wheezer, Sheen Estevez, Cindy Vortex, Libby Folfax, Nick Dean, and Butch Pakovski (from Jimmy Neutron), Dexter (it can be assumed he was already dead in the previous episode, Old Man Dexter), Dee Dee, and Mandark (from Dexter’s Laboratory), Danny “Fentom” Phantom, and Samantha “Sam” Manson (from Danny Phantom), Sonic The Hedgehog (who ran out of speed), Amy Rose, Tails, Knuckles, and Cream The Rabbit (from The Sonic series), The Grim Reaper, Billy, Mandy, Irwin, Mindy, Sperg, Nergal, and Nergal Jr. (from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy), Jenny Wakeman/XJ9 (damaged in few episodes), Dr. Nora Wakeman, Brad, Tuck, Cody, Vexus, and Tiff Crust (from My Life as a Teenage Robot), Zidgel, Midgel, Fidgel, Kevin, Jason T. Conrad, and Michelle Francis Conrad (from 3-2-1 Penguins!), Courage, Muriel, and Eustace (from Courage the Cowardly Dog), Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Master Splinter (from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1987 Series), SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, and Plankton (from SpongeBob SquarePants), Timmy Turner, Wanda, Cosmo, and Vicky (from The Fairly OddParents), Arnold, Helga, Gerald, and Phoebe (from Hey Arnold), Robin, Cyborg (damaged in few episodes), Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven, Terra, Gizmo, Jinx, Mammoth, See-More, and Billy Numerous (from Teen Titans), Link, Princess Zelda, and Ganon (from The Legend of Zelda), Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Goomba, Koopratoopa (who turned into Dry Bones), Spiny, Buzzy Beetle, and The Koopalings (from The Super Mario series), Awful Alvin, and Dark Crow (from LarryBoy: The Cartoon Adventures), Kirby, Waddle Dee, and King DeDeDe (from the Kirby series), and Shaggy, Scooby, Fred, Daphne, and Velma (from What’s New Scooby Doo).
- In the 2006 original version, The End Credits included “This is Halloween” by Marilyn Manson. Later in 2012 version, The End Credits include “Blown Away” by Shiny Toy Guns.
- This is the last Fanmade Microsoft Creations production with all of the Cartoon Characters (from Peanuts Worldwide, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, Nintendo, Sega, Big Idea Productions, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel) together in the standard high quality animation.
- This might’ve been an international send-off/epilogue for the mainline franchise, given the appearance of almost all of the major cartoon characters (from many different TV Companies).
