Here is the content guide of the animated series The Wrong Side of Town.

Sex and Nudity[]

Five elementary school kids frequently look at the windows of houses to see shadows of either a couple having sex, a woman getting undressed, or a similar thing going on. This usually follows with an uncomfortable Terrence saying "Uh-oh".

The kids frequently make sexual references, only in a hidden, "innocent" way, and they never mention anything disgusting.

Status: 5/10

Violence[]

Normal, slapstick violence is used, but there are also gunshots, gang violence, child abuse, and police brutality, although they are all mild and played for laughs.

Status: 5/10

Profanity/ Inappropriate Dialogue[]

Five, innocent elementary school kids make lots and lots of innuendos and double ententes after their innocence has been corrupted. Their dirty talk gets stronger and more frequent when the kids get angry.

Pierre is a French speaking kid. He speaks in a language that nobody, except for his friends, can understand, and his voice is muffled due to his scarf covering his mouth. Due to this, Pierre is allowed to say whatever he wants, and says more innuendos and double ententes than his friends.

Clyde and Terrence rarely talk dirty, but at certain points, like when they're angry, they spit out an innuendo or two.

Fortunately, Sammy is the only kid in Terrence's group to have a clean mouth, due to him rarely speaking, just like Clyde. Sammy and Clyde are the only kids in Terence's group to not have dirty catchphrases.

Although, the characters in this series never say any swear words, despite it being an adult show. Innuendos and double ententes are a substitute for profanity in this show.

Not only the kids are innuendo-spewing characters, but the gangsters, and some of the adults in this cartoon, talk like this too.

Status: 0/10 for profanity, 10/10 for inappropriate dialogue, although, when aired on television, it's toned down to an 8/10.

Drugs/Alcohol/Tobacco Use[]

This isn't frequent, but there are some characters who smoke, do drugs, and drink in the cartoon.

In one episode, Terrence gets obsessed with sweet corn, not knowing there's a drug inside as a secret ingredient.

There was also one episode where Pierre tries a little sip of beer, thinking it was root beer, but spits it out due to the taste.

The kids drink root beer and soda instead of beer.

Status: 3/10

Disturbing Scenes[]

The violence and black comedy can disturb some viewers, but its mostly played for laughs.

Some viewers, mostly parents with children, may feel offended and shocked by the frequent, constant amounts of innuendo and sexual references said by elementary school children, even Pierre, the worst offender.

Status: 3/10
