The Video Game Corruption Chaos: A Super Mario Bros. Movie is an upcoming 2026 adult animated horror comedy action thriller crossover film inspired by SMG4’s Genesis Arc and based on the Nintendo video game franchise Mario. This movie will be released on April 3rd, 2026 to coincide with the release date of the official upcoming Super Mario World movie.

One morning, Christopher Jones decided to check his Nintendo Switch 2 to see how his game went, and when he found out he unintentionally put that cursed USB in his computer, and when Devin Parker escapes from the video game, that’s when Christopher finds out that his life is really on the line, so he’s pressured to find a way to defeat Devin Parker before the corruption begins.
And so, Brooklyn plumbers Mario and his cowardly brother Luigi (both of them Charles Martinet) are forced out of Brooklyn and New Donk City after seeing the corrupted zombies ravaging it in the hands of a perilous leader, at the cost of each other, in order to help Christopher collect the twelve individual power stars to open up a weird portal to Devin’s void of illusion with the assistance of a Mushroom Kingdom resident Toad (Keegan Michael-Key) and guidance from the strong-willed ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), and even help the all-powerful tyrannical king of the Koopas, Bowser (Jack Black). But little do they know, it will take a lot more than skill for this adventure.
Can Christopher Jones make it in time? Or will the corruption stay forever? And will it be game over for the Mario Brothers?
