The Tapu Guardians 2 Is a 2019 action-comedy-adventure CGI film produced by New Line Cinema, Legendary Pictures, and The Pokémon Company. It will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is a sequel to the Tapu Guardians. New voice cast and new crew have joined the film, with Greg Daniels being a producer. Bailey Fisherman will be taking over as director for 2 films. The voice actors from the previous film will still reprise their roles, with Christina Ricci, Arlen Escarpeta, Ed Helms, and Sam Hozen.
Synopsis[]
After the events of the first film, everything gets rebuilt. Until, an unknown chemical turns everyone to monsters. The Guardians will have to find an antidote to stop the outbreak from ending all life in the Pokémon world.

After the success of The Tapu Guardians, director Greg Daniels stated on Twitter, "There could be a sequel to the film if we can think of any plot points."
In January 2017, Ryan Reynolds had stated that the story could continue the storyline, but on a film based on the popular game Call of Duty. On May 8, Bailey Fisherman was confirmed to direct the sequel. On August 29, 2017, Warner Bros. had announced that a sequel is in developement. Will Ferrell confirmed that he will not be returning to the sequel. On November 14, Christina Ricci has stated that she will join the sequel. On March 4, 2018, the film was delayed from its October 19 film release date to June 26, 2019. On April 2, 2019, John Myers confirmed that the sequel will be premiered at Village East Cinema in New York City.

Critical Response[]
The Tapu Guardians 2 recieved generally negative reviews. With a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 5.3 on IMDB, The Tapu Guardians 2 was considered unsuccessful in the franchise. It was still considered a box-office success at theaters, however.
