The Super Mario Bros Movie Demastered (also known as The Super Mario Bros Movie Video Game) is a 2025 platform game developed by Speedymcfly. The game is loosely based on the 2023 film of the same name. It was released for Microsoft Windows via Itch.io on the 19th September 2025 for SAGE.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie Demastered is a 2D side-scrolling platformer with gameplay inspired by titles such as Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. Players progress through a series of linear levels across 14 themed worlds, collecting coins, power-ups, and Power Stars while defeating or avoiding enemies.
The player can choose from six playable characters, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, Toad, and Bowser, each possessing unique movement styles, attacks, and abilities. Mario is the character that you’ll play for the majority of the game, he doesn’t have any special abilities or drawbacks, he is the most “neutral” character out of all the 6. Mario has access to most of the power ups in the game and in certain story points can upgrade his abilities, giving him moves such as the Wall-Jump, Ground-Pound and Spin Attack. Luigi can perform a double jump and can float in the air for a brief period along with having high acceleration, jump height and speed but is extremely slippery and has high knockback. Peach has two additional health points, can float/hover in mid air and can land/air bash but has very weak acceleration and speed. Donkey Kong has three health points, can throw barrels and roll but is extremely slow with a low jump height. He can also equip himself with his Coconut Gun. Toad is the fastest character in the game with a high acceleration, jump height and can throw Boomerangs and Bowser has 5 health points, run in his shell that can defeat enemies, can breathe fire and can dash both on land and in the air, but he is the slowest character in the game and cannot use traditional power-ups. Various stages introduce vehicles, allowing players to ride karts, minecarts, or Yoshis/Plessies in auto-scrolling or chase sequences.
The game supports local multiplayer for up to two players, where the second player can join as Luigi, Peach and Toad for certain levels.

Bowser, along with Kamek, The Elite Trio, and the rest of his army, invades Cool Cool City using his massive castle ship. The penguin inhabitants, led by their brave king, fight to defend their home, but their attacks are completely ineffective against Bowser, leading to them being easily defeated and captured. Bowser then burns their Kingdom down with his fire breath and steals their most prized possession, one of the six Power Stars, which came from a meteor that split the Earth into a parallel world known as Planet Nin.
Meanwhile, in New York City, Mario and Luigi have quit their Jobs from Spike's Wrecking and co and started Super Mario Bros. Plumbing, a small plumbing business servicing the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. At the Peppino's Pizzeria, Mario and Luigi proudly watch the commercial for the business that they spent their life savings to produce, but they then encounter their antagonistic former workers Wario & Waluigi, who deride them for leaving him to start their own business. Undeterred, Mario and Luigi go to do a plumbing job at a Mayor Pauline's house, but a mysterious flood wrecks her house. Mario and Luigi, defeated and humiliated, return home for dinner with their family, most of whom mock their plumbing business, commercial and their mistake, with only their mother being supportive of them. Mario becomes disheartened after being criticized by his father in particular and soon goes outside to clear his name. But after Luigi goes after him and cheers him out, Mario promptly sets out to clear his name and fix the leak themselves. However, the two have an argument about Mario never quitting and go their separate way in order to fix the leaks themselves. The two separately find Warp Pipes and head inside of them. Mario ends up in a forest filled with large mushrooms, where he meets with Toad, who informs him that he has arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom and that his brother has landed in the Dark Lands, which are under the control of Bowser. Toad then decides to bring Mario to the kingdom's ruler, Princess Peach, who he believes can help Mario save Luigi. Meanwhile, Luigi briefly searches for Mario in the Dark Lands where tries to escape by hiding in an abandoned castle, but inside the castle is chased by King Boo. He soon then meets Proffessor E.Gadd, who he reluntatly helps to find the supposed Great Treasure of the Darklands.
