As we all know, The Simpsons started a revolution for being the first adult animated series on network television, eventually spawning a massive franchise and inspiring other creators to create their own shows like South Park, Beavis and Butt-head, Family Guy or Rick and Morty. However, at a certain point, the series started to decline in quality with some characters changing to worse and plots becoming more tiring and unimaginative. Most agree the turning point was after Phil Hartman's murder and Futurama's premiere. But what if the show managed to keep rather fresh after the Golden Age and managed to keep some of the quality humor it had during its Golden Age?

List of changes

  • While still rather oafish, Homer would be less of a jerkass.
  • Bart would not be used as a sympathy bait.
  • Lisa will be changed to be less of a SJW.
  • Flanders' religious fanatism is taken off.
  • Moe's suicidal thoughts and obsession with Marge are removed as well.
  • Burns' evil side will have more focus than his old age.
  • Apu remains on the show, especially considering the fact other ethnic characters on the show are voiced by Caucasian actors.
  • Celebrity and trends cash-ins would be removed unless the celebrity episode has purpose.
  • Political plots would avoid Democratic bias, especially after George W. Bush and Donald Trump's election.
  • Treehouse of Horror attempts to tell more original stories again instead of countless horror movie and TV shows spoofs.
  • The controversial death of Maude Flanders never happens.
    • Considering Flanders never married Edna since Maude is still alive, the 4th grade teacher's role is assumed by Principal Skinner instead after her death.
  • Although Homer vs. Dignity was kept, the episode was slighty rewritten to not be completely sadistic.
  • After Phil Hartman's murder, the crew opted to go the same way they went with Futurama by using Billy West, who replaced him as Zapp Brannigan when the series started, as Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure.
    • However, unlike Hartman, he's credited as a supporting cast member rather than a guest star.
  • New characters will be introduced, yet, like the old ones, they will mainly be used for comedy. Those would include:
    • Gabriella Vasquez, a Hispanic soap opera actress who is now playing a new damsel in distress in Krusty's show. Voiced by Tress MacNeille.
    • Lena Rulls, a lesbian bodyguard who often TBD. Voiced by Tress MacNeille.
    • Darlene Spade, a secretary to Mayor Quimby who has a crush on almost every adult guy she meets. Voiced by Pamela Hayden.
    • Edward Flotz, a YouTuber who often does prank videos and is now the self-claimed rival of Bart. Voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
    • Hiro, a new assistant to Fat Tony who often gives long metaphors with no reason. Voiced by Harry Shearer.
    • [something like a teen girl stereotype]. Voiced by [Nancy].
