Plot[]
In a mysterious territory named Skull Territory, an expedition group was exploring the swamps of the territory until one of the members gets eaten by a Black Alligator. The rest of the expedition group flees from the swamp and then discovers a cave where they found some cave drawings of a Megaprimatus Rex. However, when the group exits the cave, a wolf-like Vasto Wolf named Scar Snout attacks the group and kills them offscreen.
A young adult named Jasper, a student at a high school, who wonders about the dangers of Skull Territory. He researches the territory that the place has many dangerous creatures and a native tribe. He learns that the territory has the most mighty creature named the Megaprimtus rex that is hidden somewhere in the territory.
Meanwhile, Didi Pickles is pregnant with her second baby, which makes her son Tommy worry how that will change the family dynamic. The birth comes unexpectedly early, and Didi gives birth to a boy named Dil. Upon bringing him home, she and her husband Stu struggle to cope with Dil's constant outbursts. Tommy finds his new brother hard to get along with, but Stu assures him that one day, he will be happy to have Dil in the family, and Tommy accepts his newfound responsibility as an older brother.
Four weeks later, with Dil still causing problems at the Pickles' home, Phil and Lil suggest using the Reptar Wagon Stu has built for a toy contest in Japan to take him back to the hospital. As Tommy and Chuckie argue with Phil and Lil, Angelica walks in, telling the babies to be quiet. In the process, Dil snatches her Cynthia doll from her. She fights Dil to get the doll back and accidentally kicks the Reptar wagon, which begins to drive away with the babies on board. They speed recklessly through the streets, taking Jasper along with them in the process, and they (including Jasper) ended up landing in the back of a van, which crashes into Skull Territory. Angelica shows no concern until she finds out that the babies have taken her Cynthia doll, which prompts her to take the family dog, Spike, to find them and retrieve Cynthia. The family discovers the babies are missing and set out to find them in the face of the media sensation that has suddenly generated around their children's disappearance. Drew and Charlotte arrive and Drew learns from Rex Pester, an annoying news reporter who believes that Tommy lost Angelica, causing Drew to attack Stu.
The babies and Jasper are lost and separated in the forest area of the territory. Tommy leads the babies toward a ranger's cabin, believing it to be the home of a magic "lizard" (a mispronunciation of wizard) who can grant their wish to go home. Unbeknownst to them, Scar Snout the V. Wolf stalks the babies in the territory. On the way, they encounter a band of circus monkeys who hijacked a circus train, which crashes into the territory. They kidnap Dil, and Tommy's friends except Chuckie refuse to help rescue him, believing they are better off without him. Tommy and Chuckie set off to find Dil Pickles.
Meanwhile, Jasper was trying to find the babies and a way to get out of Skull Territory but he gets attacked a native tribe of the territory. He escapes from them and flees into the swamps of the territory. Thinking that he was safe, he suddenly gets attacked a couple of Black Alligators. He fends them off by using his gun and then escapes. He then discovers a cave where he saw Reptar's drawings. When he exits the cave, he runs into a crocodile-like Weta Crocodile who then chases him in the forest only for the W. Crocodile to get eaten by a family of two V. Wolves. The V. Wolves then start to chase Jasper through the forest only to disturb a Megaprimtus rex, who rescues Jasper from them. After the mighty dinosaur rescues him, Jasper starts to call him Reptar from the TV show of the same name that he watched and the Megaprimtus rex liked that name. Jasper then sleeps in a cave for the night during a storm.
Tommy and Chuckie eventually finds Dil during the storm, but as he struggles to take care of him, Dil continues acting selfishly. Tommy eventually loses his temper and prepares to pour Mash Banana Baby food onto Dil for the monkeys to take him again as Chuckie tries to stop him, but Tommy's rage and the storm scares Dil into ending his behavior and his tears cause Tommy to calm down and the brothers begin to bond. After the storm passes, they reunite with Phil, and Lil, who upon having a change of heart, stop the monkeys from trying to take away Tommy and Dil. Angelica recovers her Cynthia doll and reunites with the babies.
Meanwhile, Jasper exits the cave but he encounters the family of two V. Wolves again. They start to chase him through the forest into an edge of a cliff above a raging river. The monkeys chase the babies as they drove on the Reptar Wagon towards the edge of the cliff. There, the babies run into Jasper who reunites with them.
They are confronted by the monkeys, but only to be scared off and flee in fear by the family of two V. Wolves, who ate some of the monkeys. During the process, the babies hear a growl behind them. They turn around to find out that Scar Snout the V. Wolf who attempts to kill the babies as the two V. Wolves begin to attack Jasper until Spike the dog intervenes Scar Snout and begins to fight him. Reptar eventually arrives who begins to battle the V. Wolves and the Bull V. Wolf retreats. The animals begin to fight as the babies and Jasper begin to cheer Reptar and Spike to kill the V. Wolves.
During the fight, Reptar uses a heavy boulder and smashes the Juvenile V. Wolf with it, killing it in process, sending it off the cliff. When Scar Snout is about to knock Spike off the cliff, Angelica blows a raspberry to distract him from killing Spike. Just as Scar Snout is about to kill Angelica, Spike grabs his tail then he drags him off the cliff, sacrificing himself in the process. A dragged Scar Snout accidentally ends up dragging Jasper off the cliff during the fall. Jasper, Spike, and Scar Snout all fall into the spider pit above the river. The babies cried sadly because they lost their beloved pet.
Stu, looking for the babies in a pterodactyl-like glider, sees them from above, crashes into Rex Pester’s helicopter, sending both vehicles into Skull Territory. Stu crash lands into the ranger's cabin, but he manages to escape the cabin and approaches the cliff towards the babies, who were standing on the cliff. Believing he is the "lizard," the babies ask him to bring Spike back instead of going home. Stu falls off the cliff and reveals Spike, who survived the fall by landing on a rock platform of the ravine. The children are reunited with their parents, just as the rest of the circus monkeys are also reunited with their circus owners Igor and Sergei too. The redeemed monkeys turn against Rex Pester who is now in an injured state, and they attacked him and steal his toupee. Eventually, the babies with their parents return home, as the monkeys with their owners also return to their traveling circus too.
Meanwhile, in the spider pit, Jasper and Scar Snout ended up getting caught in the vines of the spider pit. Scar Snout, who is tangled by the vines, now attempts to kill Jasper by biting down multiple times as Jasper who hangs on the vines, swings between Scar Snout and some spider-like Anthro Spiders who attempts to attack him. Reptar then jumps into the pit where he faces Scar Snout. A vine battle begins. Reptar defeats Scar Snout by slamming him into a canyon face multiple times, snapping Scar Snout's neck, killing him in the process. Reptar throws Scar Snout into the river to his death. Reptar rescues Jasper and brings him back to the top of the cliff.
They got to the top of the cliff where Reptar faces the Bull V. Wolf. Reptar and the Bull V. Wolf begin to battle each other as Jasper watches them. After a short battle between Reptar and the V. Wolf, Reptar finally defeats the V. Wolf by wrestling it to the ground, and stretches its large jaws open until they snap apart, before fully crushing the V. Wolf's skull with his mighty arms. Reptar roars in victory and leaves Jasper alone. Jasper was eventually rescued by a rescue helicopter team who then picks him up and the helicopter leaves Skull Territory. Jasper then tells them that he found Reptar and the team were so proud that he found it when he was lost in the territory.
The babies now accept Dil to become part of the group and now helps them in their imaginations. Jasper now develops a good relationship to the babies and is welcomed into the Pickles house. There, he tells the story of how he met Reptar.

Creatures of Skull Territory[]
- Reptar - A huge mighty brown T. Rex-like dinosaur who is the last Megaprimatus Rex on Skull Territory after the rest of them are presumably killed by the V-Wolves. In the film, he serves an ally to Jasper, who is trying to find the Rugrats and the way out of the territory. To Jasper, he is very protective to him when he battles many predators in the territory.
- Scar Snout - A large V-Wolf who is a sapient, formidable, and powerful wolf with Tyrannosaurus traits. He is the worst predator in Skull Territory where he is depicted as an overhunting wolf who can kill and eat anyone who trespasses into Skull Territory, making him the most terrifying and feared creature in the territory for years. He stalks the babies throughout the forest in the film. In the climax of the film, he attempts to kill the Rugrats after the family of two V-Wolves arrive first on the edge of the cliff, until Spike, the Pickles family's dog, intervenes and fights him as Reptar fights the Juvenile V-Wolf and Scar Snout too. As a result, when Spike drags Scar Snout into the river, he also ends up dragging Jasper too. After falling into the spider pit, he gets entangled by the vines and now attempts to kill Jasper in the pit. However, Reptar jumps down into the pit where he battles off Scar Snout. Eventually, Reptar defeats him by slamming him into a cliff face multiple times, killing him in the process. He was then thrown into the river by Reptar, and is carried away in the river.
- Duo of V-Wolves - A family of two large V-Wolves, who are also sapient predators in Skull Territory. In the film, they first appear when they came across a Weta Crocodile, who is chasing Jasper earlier, snatches and consumes it. After eating the crocodile, they attempt to attack Jasper, but only for Reptar to come to the rescue where he saves Jasper from them. In the climax of the film, they chase Jasper through the forest to the edge of the cliff. There, they came across the Rugrats and a circus monkey band, where they snatch and consume some of the monkeys, and scare the rest of the monkeys away. They attempt to attack Jasper again, as Scar Snout arrives to kill the Rugrats, but Reptar and Spike intervenes and fights the V-Wolves to protect Jasper and the Rugrats. During the battle, the Juvenile V-Wolf gets killed when Reptar smashes its head with a heavy bolder, before throwing it off the cliff. Later, when Reptar faces the Bull V-Wolf after defeating Scar Snout in the spider pit and rescues Jasper, they began to fight each other for a final showdown. Eventually Reptar defeats the Bull V-Wolf by wrestling it to the ground, and stretches its large jaws open until they snap apart, killing it in the process.
Differences from the 1998 film[]
- In the original, Scar Snout was a wolf who was a sapient predator that was not classified to a fictional species of wolf, while in the remake, he was classified as an evolved descendant named Vasto wolf.
- When the monkeys kidnap Dil, Tommy sets off alone to find him in the original, but in the remake, Chuckie joins him along.
- The climax takes place on a bridge in the original, while in the remake it takes place on an edge of a cliff.
- The forest doesn't have a name yet in the original, but in the remake the forest was named Skull Territory.
- The climax has more violence unlike the original where a few of the monkeys get eaten by the two V. Wolves, and Reptar kills Scar Snout and the two V. Wolves in gruesome ways.
- The remake adds more animals in Skull Territory that are dangerous like Black Alligators, a Weta Crocodile, and Anthro Spiders.
- The original has one V. Wolf named Scar Snout, while in the remake it adds two more V. Wolves.
- Scar Snout dies in the river after falling off the bridge after he gets dragged by Spike in the original, while in the remake he gets killed when he gets slammed into a canyon wall multiple times by Reptar during the vine battle.
- In the original, all of the circus monkeys never get eaten by Scar Snout, but in the remake, some of the monkeys get eaten by the two V. Wolves.
- The circus freight train is a steam locomotive in the original, but in the remake, the train is a Diesel locomotive.
- While Scar Snout is the antagonist to the babies and Rex Pester is the antagonist to the parents, the family of two V-Wolves are the antagonists to Jasper.
