The Purge (1993 Sega Game)

The Purge is a 1993 Sega Genesis game based on the film of the same name which is a RPG where you have to kill the most people and vandalize walls.

Why it sucks[]

The cover art (while being ripped off from the main poster) tricks you that you’ll be playing a game based on the movie but it's way too different from the movie it was based on.
Following point #1, the game art style is “sorta” anime which seems out of place from an American film.
The controls is atrocious. You jump by pressing DOWN!!!! and you attack by pressing UP!!!.
It is hard to kill someone you have to hit the right spot but the arrow is moving too fast.
The weapons are bad. The gun shoots fine but if you run out of ammo the gun, you lose the weapon and you can’t get it back.
The machete is useless since it does NOTHING.
It doesn’t have an ending, it’s fine for an arcade game but this was a Sega game sold at retailers.
