The Powerpuff Babies is a 2009 Canadian-American superhero animated television series that is a spin-off to The Powerpuff Girls created by Craig McCracken and Rob Renzetti for Cartoon Network. The spin-off is an amalgamation of the original show, Baby Looney Tunes and Rugrats.

The girls first appeared as babies in the original series' episode"The City of Clipsville"

Plot

The show takes place in an alternate timeline where Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup are created as infants/toddlers with superpowers instead of kindergarteners, as well as their father, the brainy scientist Professor Utonium, who all live in the city of Townsville. Most of the girls' rogues gallery have been aged down to toddlers and preschoolers just like them while some are aged down to big kids and teenagers.

Each episode consists of two 11-minute stories, each with a song (following the melody of a nursery rhyme) between them.
