The Night Hunters is an animated dark action comedy film written and directed by Moshi Kawara. Produced by Columbia Pictures, TSG II Entertainment, 2.0 Entertainment, Anime International Company and The Moshi Kawara Office and distributed by Sony Pictures, it is a co-production between the United States and Japan. It features a large ensemble cast led by Ryan Gosling and Owen Wilson. Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the film follows a director and writer duo (loosely based on Carl Andy and Garrett Fredrickson) who at night work as bounty hunters who hunt down criminals, with their most challenging hunt yet being serial killer Richard Ramirez, (Saverio Raimondo) also known as The Night Stalker.

Kawara had been developing the idea for some time before announcing it in 2021. After a bidding war, the film was picked up by Sony Pictures whom also acquired Kawara's CM film adaptation via Crunchyroll Films. Both films were made back-to-back with each other with CM finishing first while Night Hunters was given additional work well into 2023 only to be affected by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strke, work eventually resumed after November 2023, additional voice work took place during much of 2024. The Night Hunters is the final film to feature Carl Weathers, who died in Feburary 2, 2024, and it is dedicated to his memory.

The Night Hunters was initially set for December 20, 2024 before being pushed back to March 21, 2025, the film premiered March 7 at the TCL Chinese Theater and recieved critical acclaim for it's direction, animation and faithful attention to detail.
