Kids: Barney is a dinosaur from our imagination and when he’s tall, he’s what we call a dinosaur sensation. Barney’s friends are big and small. They come from lots of places. After school, they meet to play and sing with happy faces. Barney shows us lots of things like how to play pretend. ABCs and 123s, and how to be a friend. Barney comes to play with us whenever we may need him. Barney can be your friend too if you just make-believe him.
(The song ends as four kids are playing ball. Then Barney transforms from a doll to a dinosaur.)
Barney: Whoa.
Kids: Barney!
Barney: Oh, hello, everybody!
(We see Barney, BJ, Baby Bop, Riff, David, and Tracy do the conga.)
Barney, BJ, Baby Bop, Riff, David, and Tracy sing: Doo doo da da doo doo da da doo doo da da.
Barney: (To the viewers) Hello, I’m Barney and this is BJ, Baby Bop, Riff, David, and Tracy.
(They waved as Barney introduced them.)
BJ: (To the viewers) We were playing a game.
David: (To the viewers) Do you like to play games?
Barney: (To the viewers): Super-dee-duper!
Baby Bop: I hope that we will be together forever.
Barney: Me too.
Tracy: I hope that we will be friends still.
Riff: Me too.
(“Friends are Special” plays.)
Barney: Friends are special.
Baby Bop: So important, they make the world go round.
BJ & David: We like helping one another in school or on the playground.
Tracy & Riff: Friends are there to help each other when one is feeling sad!
Barney, Baby Bop, BJ, Riff, David, and Tracy: Being friends is very special. Be a friend and you’ll be glad.
David & Tracy: Friends are special.
BJ, Baby Bop, & Riff: So important, they make the world go round.
Barney & David: We like helping one another in school or on the playground.

(The song ended as five kids came to them.)
???: Hi, guys.
Barney: Hi, Ryan.
David: Hi, Ethan. Hi, Scott.
Riff: Hi, Lucas.
Baby Bop: Hi, Sophie.
(The computer is ringing.)
Ryan: We have a call from someone.
Lucas: (To the viewers) Let’s find out who’s calling us.
(They came to the computer inside the caboose.)
Scott: Let’s call!
(Scott pressed the button on the computer, then a blue wolf was on the computer.)
Sophie: Who are you?
???: I’m Wolfie.
Barney: Hi, Wolfie. I’m Barney and this is BJ, Tracy, Baby Bop, Ryan, David, Riff, Sophie, Scott, Ethan, and Lucas.
(They waved hi as Barney introduced them to Wolfie.)
David: Why did you call us?
Wolfie: Because, it is about you guys, except for Barney.
Baby Bop: Why us?
David: I don’t know.
Ryan: Um, Wolfie? Would you tell us the reason why?
Wolfie: You must meet Oso at Mount Aconcagua and you must leave this Friday early morning and pack all of your belongings in moving boxes.
Lucas: Who’s Oso?
Wolfie: You’ll find out.
Barney: We have to ask their parents if that’s okay with them.
Wofie: Bye, guys. Have an (howls) outstanding day!
Ryan: See ya soon.
(Lucas pressed the button to end the call.)
Baby Bop: Who should we ask first?
Barney: They will be going home in a minute. That would be a tee-rrific time to ask them.
Ryan: Okay, let’s go ask them now.
(Their parents came to the caboose.)
David, Ryan, Ethan, Scott, Lucas, Sophie, & Tracy: Mom, Dad, is it okay that we can meet Oso at Mount Aconcagua?
David, Ryan, Ethan, Scott, Lucas, Sophie, & Tracy’s Parents: Absolutely, but first did someone say something about moving boxes?
Ryan: Yes.
David, Ryan, Ethan, Scott, Lucas, Sophie, & Tracy: We should all get moving boxes and we should pack right now.
(They put the moving boxes into a wagon as a boy came to them.)
???: Hi, guys.
Ryan: Hi, Jamal.
Jamal: What are you doing?
Baby Bop: We’re moving.
Jamal: Moving, as in, going away?
Riff: Oh, yeah.
(A very depressed Jamal came up to Barney.)
Barney: Is there something wrong, Jamal?
Jamal: Yes. I’m sad.
Barney: Why are you sad? Is it because of the move?
Jamal: Yes.
Barney: Oh, Jamal. I will miss them too.
(“I Miss You” plays.)
Barney: When people that we love are far away from us, sometimes we miss them so the best thing we can do to show them that we care is to find a way to let them know.
Jamal: I’ve been feeling sad since my friend’s away. I think I’ll send a note so that I can say I miss you, I miss you. Oh, I miss you so when we’re apart. I miss you, I miss you, you’ve got a special place in my heart.
Barney: And then a letter from my friend arrived. When I opened it up, it read inside…
Jamal: I miss you, I miss you. Oh, I miss you so when we’re apart. I miss you, I miss you.
Barney: You’ve got a special place
Barney & Jamal: You’ve got a special place in my heart.
(“I Miss You” song ends.)
Jamal: I have a great idea on how to show them that we miss them. Why not have a goodbye party?
Barney: That would be a super-dee-duper idea! What should we have at the goodbye party? (To the viewers) I think we need your help.
Jamal: (To the viewers): Will you help me throw a goodbye party? Great! What should we do first?
Barney: Why not get a cake with their favorite flavor? (To the viewers) Let’s go the bakery and get a cake.
(When they got to the street, they did not know where to go.)
Jamal: What does the bakery look like?
Barney: It’s pink.
Jamal: (To the viewers) Which store is pink?
(On the left there is a green grocery store, in the middle there is a pink bakery, on the right there is a blue post office.)
Barney: (To the viewers) Correct, the middle one!
Jamal: (To the viewers) Let’s go inside.
(When they got inside the bakery, they saw a lot of cakes.)
Jamal: (In awe) Ooooh there are a lot of cakes. Which flavor of cake should we get for them?
Barney: They all like vanilla. (To the viewers) Which set of cakes are vanilla?
(There is a set of strawberry shortcakes on the left, there is a set of chocolate cakes in the middle, and there is a set of vanilla cakes on the right.)
Jamal: (To the viewers) Right, the ones on the right!
Barney: Which vanilla cake should we get?
Jamal: Maybe the biggest one because there will be a lot of people at the party.
Barney: (To the viewers) Which one is the biggest?
(The first one has two layers, the second one has four layers, the third one have five layers, and the fourth one has six layers.)
Barney: (To the viewers) Right, the fourth one because six is the biggest number!
(They got to the cash register with the cake.)
Baker: That costs $10.
Jamal: (To the viewers) I think we need your help with the money.
(Jamal holds up $3.)
Barney: (To the viewers) Does Jamal have enough money?
Jamal: (To the viewers) Uh, nope. I have $3.
(Jamal now holds up $8.)
Barney: (To the viewers) Does Jamal have $10 now?
Jamal: (To the viewers) No, I only have $8.
(Jamal holds up $10.)
Jamal: (To the viewers) How about now? Yes! Thanks for helping with the money.
(He hands the money to the baker.)
(He got back from the bakery.)
Jamal: What should we do next? Maybe we should have the party in a sunny spot.
Barney: Great idea. (To the viewers) I think we need your help. Is where Jamal standing sunny or shady?
(Jamal is standing in a shady spot.)
Jamal: Shady.
(Jamal runs to a sunny spot.)
Jamal: (To the viewers) Am I standing in a sunny spot or a shady spot? Right, sunny! Thanks for helping!
( A couple of hours later they were almost getting the party ready.)
Barney: They will be here any minute now!
(BJ Baby Bop, Riff and the kids came.)
Ryan: Where’s Jamal?
Lucas: Where’s Barney also?
Scott: (To the viewers) Do you see them?
(Barney and Jamal are behind a tree)
David: (To the viewers) Behind the tree?
Barney, Jamal, and the other kids: SURPRISE!
BJ: What is all this?
Jamal: It’s a goodbye party to show that I’ll miss you guys when you go away.
Ryan: We will be in your heart no matter what!
Barney: Now let’s get this party started!
( “Fun, fun, fun” plays)
Barney: Today is a special day.
BJ: Because we’re all together .
Barney: We’ll have a super-dee-duper time.
Jamal and BJ: Because we’re gonna have fun!
Scott: Clap your hands!
(Everyone clapped their hands)
Lucas: Run in place.
(Everyone ran in place)
Ethan: Dance a silly dance!
(Everyone danced a silly dance)
Scott, Lucas and Ethan: Make a funny face!
(Everyone made a funny face)
Jamal: What ever we do, me and you.
ALL: The one thing we know is… We’re gonna have fun, fun, fun, fun with everyone, we’re gonna play all day. Together we’re gonna have fun, what ever we do, me and you. The one thing that we know we’re gonna have fun, fun, fun.
Baby Bop: Fun with everyone.
ALL: We will play all day, we’re gonna have together, fun, fun, fun, fun.
Baby Bop: Fun with everyone.
ALL: We’re gonna play all day, together we’re gonna have fun!
Barney: Ho!
ALL: Together we’re gonna have fun!
(Fun, fun, fun ends)
Barney: I will miss you guys. But I will see you guys one day. And I love you guys. (To the viewers) And you.

Barney: I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family, with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won’t you say you love me too?
Barney, BJ, Baby Bop, Riff, Jamal, Lucas, Scott, Tracey, Sophie, Ryan, David and Ethan: I love you, you love me, we’re friends just like friends should be with great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won’t you say you love me too.
(I love you ends)
Ryan: You will write to us every week?
Jamal: Will do!
Barney: Me too!
(BJ was pulling the wagon as they left the park)
(We see the Barney doll with one eye sparkling at us)
