~ Official film description |
The Day Copper-9 Stands Still is a 2026 animated science-fiction horror-comedy film produced by Glitch Productions & Warner Bros. Animation & distributed by Ketchup Entertainment. It marks the 2nd crossover of the Looney Tunes & Murder Drones IPs since Murder Drones: M.I.A. - A Looney Tunes Movie, but is set in an alternate timeline where Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, & Petunia Pig help solve the secrets lying within the exoplanet of Copper-9.
It serves as a spin-off sequel to The Day the Earth Blew Up, directed by Murder Drones creator Liam Vickers, & written by Vickers, alongside Scott Derrickson, Andrew Dickman, David Gemmill, & Jason Reicher. The movie stars the voices of Elsie Lovelock, Michael Kovach, & Allanah Fitzgerald reprising their roles from the Murder Drones series, & Eric Bauza & Candi Milo reprising their roles from The Day the Earth Blew Up, albeit with Bob Bergen replacing Bauza as Porky.
The Day Copper-9 Stands Still premiered in the United States on October 30, 2026. The film grossed $428.6 million on a budget of $17 million, receiving positive reviews from critics who expressed that it suffers from the same problems from the preceding Murder Drones & Looney Tunes crossover film such as plot point reusage & the PG-13 rating, but praised the other aspects of the movie regardless, such as the improved pacing despite the former issue & the blending of elements from both franchises.
Plot[]
During a date Daffy sets up for Porky & Petunia, they are transported by an interdimensional glitch into the desolate world of Copper-9. They seek refuge in 1 of the planet's bunkers, housing JCJenson's now-autonomous Worker Drone line. In their short time in the bunker, they are quick to discover a mysterious abomination lurking in the shadows. In their investigation, they come across what they're looking for, an enormous spider-like monstrosity who hunts them down until it is deterred by Uzi & N's presence. The trio jump into action to help them fight off the creature, but it leads to the 2 drones parting ways in a manner they can't discern. After they decide to stay over with Uzi's classmate Thad, Daffy plots to use the upcoming prom ceremony to warn the students about the impending danger. However, he's quickly shoved aside so that Lizzy could asisst in carry out her friend Doll's plan on killing Disassembly Drone V. However, after some moments of reconciliation since their last encounter, Uzi & N crash the party, leading to a full-on battle against Doll.
Once she's dealt with, the trio, alongside Uzi, N, V, Thad, & Lizzy join forces to help stop the creature they ran into when the former group arrived. Porky, Daffy, & Petunia join Uzi's class in their camping trip, assisting her. That night, Uzi turns into a rampaging monster, killing everyone in sight, but she is successfully pacified by N. To discover more about the program haunting her, the crew accesses N & V's memories, where they learn that they used to be ordinary Worker Drones (alongside their fellow bots J & Cyn) until an incident in a gala they were attending caused by the latter (under the influence by a program known as the AbsoluteSolver) changed everything for them. The group ends up outside, where they meet Tessa, a woman from N & V's memories, & a now-revived J. As they investigate the Cabin Fever labs, but they get captured by a Worker Drone named Alice, but eventually manage to escape as they make their way towards some Sentinels. While the rest of the team escapes in an elevator, V stays behind to fight off the Sentinels & dies. After the elevator crash, Tessa suggest N gets to killing Uzi, but couldn't bring himself to do so as they get separated from each other through a cave-in.
With Uzi & Tessa cut off from the rest of the group, the Solver attempts to drag N away from them as they try to save him, but they have their work cut short for them as a drone heart appears to free him. The heart is revealed to be Uzi's mother Nori, who was subjected to testing alongside Doll's own mother, Yeva. Meanwhile, Khan has led the WDF in investigating & stopping the Solver by scraping through a few of his wife's drawings. Meanwhile, Tessa kills Doll & is about to finish off Uzi next before the group arrives & intervenes. However, the Solver is quick to possess her, leading to them to a fight, with Nori now involved. N makes a distraction that makes her snap her daughter out of the Solver's control. Once she's free, Uzi accidentally kicks her mother into a pit, but they manage to explain everything as the 2 drones embrace until they see Tessa, who was revealed to have been skinned & used by the Solver as a human disguise. She tries to drag the 4 into the pit, but Uzi sacrifices herself by freeing Peveryone hile she ends up outside of Copper-9, now being separated into separate chunks.
On the surface, the WDF, now joined by Daffy, Thad, & Lizzy, confront J in a battle while the planet's chunks break off, leading to a significant loss of gravity. Before J tries killing them off, Daffy is able to defeat her with his unpredictability & even manages to convince her to change sides & join them. N, Porky, & Petunia rush to a nearby pod & use it to rescue Uzi before 1 of the Solver's tentacles destroys it, though they come out unscathed & rush to fight it off. Once, Uzi, N, Porky, & Petunia land on the planet, the Solver confronts them. She tries using a callback ping on Uzi, but is stopped by both her resistance & Petunia's flamethrower fending her off a little. In retaliation, she tries cutting off her hand, but N intervenes, causing him to be clawed open by the Solver. They manage to hide out with N's body, as their group reunites with the dubbed "Bus Crash" crew, just as N's heart is taken from him. The Solver tries to eat out N's heart, but Khan's interference foils her. She tries to kill both drones instead, but Uzi also interferes, with Porky, Daffy, & Petunia by her side. They, alongside Thad & Lizzy go off on a death match against the Solver. In the ensuing fight, Uzi rips out the Solver's heart & incinerates it, causing a black hole to consume them both. She sacrifices her life & takes the Solver with her in order for it to not endanger the universe anymore further. The planet is cleaved back to normal, Khan & Nori encounter each other & reconcile, & Uzi is revived by Petunia (alongside V) & hailed as a hero. Once they tie up all the loose ends, Porky, Daffy, & Petunia say their goodbyes before entering the portal back home.
