Sharks in New York City[]
FADE IN:
EXT. NEW YORK CITY - DAY
(The scene opens with a wide shot of bustling New York City. The skyline is towering, and the city hums with energy. Cars honk in the streets, and people walk quickly, each with their own purpose. However, the camera quickly shifts to a more unusual sight— the Mane Six lying on the sandy ground, disoriented and confused.)
MOMMY SHARK
(Groaning as she slowly gets up, rubbing her head)
Ugh… What happened? Where are we?
DADDY SHARK
(Sitting up, brushing sand off himself, looking around)
Well, this ain’t the sea, that’s for sure.
WILLIAM
(Looking around with wide eyes, a bit frantic)
What… is this? This is nothing like our home! Is this some sort of dream?
(Gently standing up, looking around with fear and awe)
I-I’ve never seen anything like this before… It’s so… so strange.
BABY SHARK
(Bouncing up immediately, her usual energy back, despite the confusion)
Ooooh! I think this is super exciting! It’s like a new adventure!
GRANDPA SHARK
(Shooting up into the air, his fins flapping hard against the wind, looking around)
Whoa. This place is HUGE! I’ve never seen anything like this before! It’s so… big!
(Grandpa Shark zooms above the city streets, flying over skyscrapers, looking down at the cars below. The city looks completely different from anything they’ve seen in the sea.)
GRANDPA SHARK
(Hovering and speaking loudly to the group below)
Alright, everyone, you need to take a look at this! This place is unreal!
(The others look up at Grandpa Shark, who waves them over. They stand up and walk together toward the edge of the sandy area, where they can get a better view of the city.)
TWILIGHT SPARKLE
(Eyes wide, scanning the area as she reads a nearby sign)
Look at this—(Squinting at the sign)—“Welcome to New York City.”
(She pauses, her face going pale as the realization sets in.)
GRANDMA SHARK
(In a stunned tone)
Oh no… We’re not in the sea anymore. This is… somewhere else. This is a completely different world!
MOMMY SHARK
(Skeptically, still not fully understanding)
A new world? You mean we’re not in the sea? Are we on some kinda trip? Did we accidentally end up in another dimension or somethin’?
GRANDPA SHARK
(Looking around, utterly captivated, but still uneasy)
This is… this is madness! We’re in a completely different world, surrounded by all these strange creatures, and everything’s so… so loud.
GRANDMA SHARK
(Nervously, hiding behind her mane as people walk by)
I-I’m not sure how to feel about this… it’s so crowded… so different. I hope we’re not in any danger.
WILLIAM
(Grinning widely, practically bouncing on her hooves)
Danger? Oh, please! I’m sure we’ll be just fine! Look at this place! There’s so much to see! And… so many cupcakes! Yay!
DADDY SHARK
(Looking around, trying to stay calm but clearly panicked)
We need to stay focused. The most important thing is figuring out how to get back to Equestria. We can’t stay here forever. We have to find a way home.
(Suddenly, a small breeze blows a leaflet toward Twilight. She picks it up with her magic, reading the information on it.)
MOMMY SHARK
(Squinting at the text)
Hmm… looks like there’s a big event happening downtown. If we can find some help there, maybe we can figure out where we are and—
GRANDMA SHARK
(Flying down to land beside Mommy Shark, shaking her head in disbelief)
That’s all good and well, but how do we even start figuring out where we are? We can’t exactly ask the locals—they don’t look like they’re from the sea.
WILLIAM
(Bouncing in excitement, taking a deep breath)
I bet they have ice cream here! And cotton candy! And I bet the buildings are made of candy too! Or maybe chocolate, or—
BABY SHARK
(Rolling his eyes, though he can’t hide a small smile)
William, focus! We’re in an unfamiliar place, and we need to act with some level of decorum.
WILLIAM
(Still shy, glancing around nervously)
Do you think it’s safe to walk around here? I-I’m a little scared...
GRANDMA SHARK
(Furrowing her brow, glancing at the huge skyscrapers looming overhead)
We gotta stick together, that’s for sure. No wandering off, y’all.
GRANDPA SHARK
(Thinking hard, trying to come up with a plan)
Alright, we’ll start by staying calm and sticking together. First, let’s head toward the city center, see if we can find anyone who can help us.
MOMMY SHARK
(Flying up again, her fins flapping with excitement)
I’m ready to go! I wanna see this place up close. Come on, everyone, let’s check it out! Who knows, maybe we’ll find something super awesome!
GRANDPA SHARK
(Nods firmly, then looks around at the others)
Alright. Stay close, everyone. And let’s keep our eyes open. We’re not just sightseeing—we need to find a way home.
(As the Shark Family begins walking through the crowded streets, they are astounded by the massive size of the city. They gaze up at the skyscrapers, the flashing lights, the busy crowds. The unfamiliar sounds and sights are both thrilling and overwhelming. They stand out in this strange new world, but their bond remains strong.)
WILLIAM
(Looking up at the buildings, wide-eyed)
Wow, look at all the colors!
MOMMY SHARK
(Flying above the others, dodging through the air as she makes sharp turns, laughing)
This place is incredible! It's like a whole new world!
(They continue walking, exploring the unfamiliar environment, but they know deep down that the most important task now is finding their way back home to the sea. But how? And what will they encounter in this strange new world?)
EXT. NEW YORK CITY - DAY
(The Shark Family is standing on the bustling streets of New York City, trying to figure out their next move. Twilight is holding a magic book and looks determined, her horn glowing as she prepares to try something.)
GRANDPA SHARK
(Speaking confidently to her friends)
Alright, I’ve been studying the magical energies here, and I’m pretty sure I can teleport us back to Equestria. Just hold on, everyone!
WILLIAM
(Nervously watching him)
You sure about this, Mr? I don’t know what’s gonna happen!
DADDY SHARK
(Smoothing out his fins, trying to keep calm)
I do hope this doesn’t result in any... mishaps.
BABY SHARK
(Excitedly bouncing)
Yay! Adventure time! Let’s go home, home, home!
(Grandpa Shark concentrates, his book glowing brighter and brighter. He stampsheis fins and—POOF!—a magical burst surrounds them. There’s a moment of silence... but when the magic clears, they’re still standing in the middle of the same busy street, surrounded by honking cars and pedestrians.)
GRANDPA SHARK
(Eyes wide, slightly panicked)
That... was definitely not the sea!
GRANDMA SHARK
(Trembling a little)
Uh-oh... are we still stuck here?
BABY SHARK
(Looking around, unfazed)
Well, if it means more cool sights to see, I’m good. But maybe we should work on a better plan?
CUT TO:
EXT. BUSY STREET - LATER
(The Mane Six are now standing at the edge of a bustling crosswalk. They’re watching the crowd go by, trying to figure out how to cross. Cars zoom by in every direction, honking loudly. The sidewalk is packed with people rushing to and fro.)
GRANDPA SHARK
(Looking overwhelmed as he glances both ways)
Okay, we’ve got to cross this street, but... how do we even start?
MOMMY SHARK
(Excitedly)
Easy! We just zip across and—
DADDY SHARK
(Interrupting, pulling Mommy back)
Hold up, sugarcube. This ain’t like the sea. We’ve gotta be careful.
MOMMY SHARK
(Glancing nervously at the speeding cars)
Oh my stars! Look at those monsters barreling down the street! How are we supposed to cross with all that?
DADDY SHARK
(Holding up a fin and starting to trot forward without thinking)
It’s just like a game! A game of “dodge the speeding things!” Let’s go!
(The Mane Six nervously step forward into the crosswalk. Suddenly, the traffic lights change, and the street fills with fast-moving cars, trucks, and honking vehicles. They all freeze, unsure of what to do. Chaos ensues as they attempt to dodge cars, trucks, and even a bicycle courier weaving through them.)
GRANDPA SHARK
(Panicking, dodging a cab)
Ahh! We should’ve waited! Everyone, RUN! NOW!
WILLIAM
(Grabbing Grandpa Shark and yanking her out of the way of an oncoming car)
Not so fast, Gramps! Let’s not make things worse!
(The group runs to the other side, but the traffic is relentless. It’s a full-on slapstick montage of them running back and forth across the street, dodging near-misses, with Mommy Shark taking an elegant leap over a puddle and then—
MOMMY SHARK
(Collapsing dramatically into a faint on the sidewalk, her hoof going limp, gasping for air)
Oh, my… I can't take it! This is simply too much!
TWILIGHT SPARKLE
(Desperately, running back toward Rarity)
Rarity! You’re gonna be okay!
FLUTTERSHY
(Worriedly checking Rarity’s pulse)
She’s just fainted... she’s fine, just... overexerted herself, I think.
(As Rarity lies still, dramatic music plays briefly, but it quickly turns into a comedic sound as the rest of the group stands awkwardly, breathing heavily, as if they just ran a marathon.)
PINKIE PIE
(Popping up with a wide grin)
Look, Rarity’s playing a game of "faint in style!" Nice job, Rarity!
RAINBOW DASH
(Patting Rarity’s fainting form on the back)
Well, at least she’s adding a little drama to this whole thing.
Barnes and Noble[]
INT. BARNES & NOBLE - DAY
(The scene opens inside a cozy, bustling Barnes & Noble store. The camera pans through the aisles filled with books, showcasing customers browsing. A large sign reads "Upcoming Book Signing: Last Year’s Bestselling Author!" A soft, ambient sound of pages turning and light chatter fills the atmosphere.)
CUT TO:
INT. BARNES & NOBLE - BACK OFFICE
(A small, slightly cluttered office behind the store. JERRY STEWER, a shy and awkward marketing VP in his late 20s, is nervously sitting across from his boss, SALLY ANDERSON. Jerry is wearing a slightly disheveled suit, and he fiddles with a pen in his hands, clearly out of his comfort zone. Sally is a no-nonsense but kind-hearted woman in her 40s, dressed in smart office attire. She exudes a calm, professional aura.)
SALLY ANDERSON
(Smiling warmly, flipping through a folder on her desk)
Alright, Jerry. We’re gearing up for the big book signing event next week with last year’s bestselling author. How’s everything shaping up?
JERRY STEWER
(Shifting in his seat, stammering slightly)
Y-yeah! Uh, it’s... it’s going well. I-I’ve been going over the... uh, the plans, and everything’s, uh, pretty much on track. I mean, last year was such a... huge success, right? I think—no, I know we can... do even better this year.
(Jerry straightens up, trying to gain confidence. He continues speaking faster, growing more excited.)
JERRY STEWER
Last year, we had such a great turnout. The line stretched all the way around the block, and the media coverage was... stellar! We even had a local TV segment! And—uh—speaking of, last week I did that interview with the, uh, the local news anchor, and... well... it didn’t go as smoothly as I hoped. I mean, I stuttered a little... and I spilled coffee on the script, and...
(Jerry trails off, his confidence faltering. He looks down at his shoes, embarrassed.)
SALLY ANDERSON
(Chuckling softly, leaning forward with a reassuring smile)
Jerry, it happens. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s all part of the learning process. Honestly, I think the coffee incident just added character.
(Jerry looks up, slightly surprised by her kindness.)
SALLY ANDERSON
(Encouragingly)
But right now, let’s focus on the task at hand. We’ve got a big event coming up, and I’m confident you’ve got this. You’ve been doing great work, and this is your time to shine. Just remember, it’s all about connecting with the customers and making them feel welcomed. You’re the face of this event, Jerry.
JERRY STEWER
(Looking up, a bit more confident now, smiling awkwardly)
Yeah... yeah, I can do that. I can... really do this.
SALLY ANDERSON
(Nodding approvingly)
Good. Now, I want you to go over the schedule one more time, and make sure everything is in place. The author will be here soon, so we need to make sure we’re ready.
(Jerry stands up, a bit more animated, feeling a boost of confidence. He picks up his folder, trying to mask his nervousness.)
JERRY STEWER
Right! I’ll... I’ll make sure everything’s ready! Thank you, Sally. I won’t let you down.
(Jerry pauses at the door, looks back at Sally, and gives a small, awkward wave. Sally smiles warmly at him.)
SALLY ANDERSON
(With a nod)
I know you won’t, Jerry. Now go make this event a success.
(Jerry nods quickly and exits the office, his confidence growing. As he walks down the hallway of the bookstore, he starts to mutter to himself, trying to psych himself up.)
JERRY STEWER
(Quietly to himself, pumped up)
Okay, Jerry. You’ve got this. Just like last year... but better!
(He stops by the door, takes a deep breath, and walks out into the store, the camera following him as he heads to prepare for the big event.)
INT. BARNES & NOBLE - MAIN FLOOR - DAY
(The camera shows the bustling, lively bookstore. Customers are browsing the shelves, chatting, and sipping coffee. The scene focuses on a section of the store near the event space. In the background, there’s a large sign that reads “Magician Collaboration Event Coming Soon!”)
CUT TO:
INT. BARNES & NOBLE - EVENT SPACE - DAY
(The room is decorated with banners and promotional materials for an upcoming magician collaboration event. The setup is slightly chaotic, with staff rushing around preparing for the event. SALLY ANDERSON, looking more professional than before, walks confidently through the space, addressing the staff. She pauses when she notices JERRY STEWER walking nearby.)
SALLY ANDERSON
(Calling out to Jerry with a smile)
Jerry! Perfect timing.
(Jerry looks up nervously from adjusting a stack of flyers, fidgeting slightly.)
JERRY STEWER
(Still a little anxious, giving a nervous wave)
Hey, Sally! Everything's, uh... looking good, right? Everything’s... in place?
SALLY ANDERSON
(Nods, leading Jerry to a small gathering near the center of the event space)
Absolutely. But there’s someone I’d like you to meet. We’ve partnered with a brilliant magician for the upcoming event. Darcy Allison, the American marketing VP of the magician’s team. I think you two will have a lot to discuss.
(As they approach the group, we see DARCY ALLISON, a sleek, confident woman in her late 30s. She has sharp features, wearing a tailored black suit and a cool demeanor. Next to her, a small, adorable but slightly mischievous-looking bunny sits in a basket on the floor. This is SONY, her clever pet sidekick.)
SALLY ANDERSON
(Introducing Jerry and Darcy with a smile)
Jerry, this is Darcy Allison. Darcy, meet Jerry Stewer, our marketing VP here at Barnes & Noble.
DARCY ALLISON
(Extends a perfectly manicured hand, her voice smooth and confident)
Nice to meet you, Jerry. I've heard so much about your work here. I’m thrilled to be collaborating with you for the event.
JERRY STEWER
(Shaking her hand awkwardly, a little flustered)
Oh, uh, yeah, the pleasure’s mine. I’ve... I’ve heard about you too, Darcy. Your, um, your work... it’s impressive. Really impressive.
DARCY ALLISON
(Gives a slight, calculating smile, glancing at Sony, who hops out of the basket and nuzzles her feet)
Thank you. I know how to make a good impression. And Sony here is my special assistant. He’s been instrumental in, well... helping me with some creative solutions.
(Sony looks up at Jerry, twitching his ears and giving a tiny, knowing smile that’s almost too human-like. Jerry looks down at the bunny, clearly unnerved by its intelligence.)
JERRY STEWER
(Nervously laughs, stepping back a bit)
Oh, wow. Uh, he seems... very clever.
DARCY ALLISON
(With a sly smirk)
He’s more than clever, Jerry. Let’s just say he’s the brains behind a few... unconventional ideas. But enough about that, we’re here to discuss how we’re going to make this event truly unforgettable. We’ll make the magician's signing a huge success. I’m sure you’ll agree, Jerry, that a little showmanshipgoes a long way.
(Jerry, looking slightly overwhelmed, nods slowly, clearly not entirely comfortable with Darcy’s sharpness.)
JERRY STEWER
(Stumbling over his words)
Uh, yeah, I mean, sure. Showmanship... that sounds great! I—I’m all for a great event. I-I’ll just... go over the plans one more time.
(Sally watches the exchange with an approving smile, while Darcy continues to stand there coolly, with Sony hopping up onto a nearby shelf as if to keep watch.)
DARCY ALLISON
(Smoothly, as Jerry fidgets)
Take your time, Jerry. There’s no rush. I’m sure we’ll make this event... perfect. After all, it’s about giving the customers something they won’t forget.
(Her eyes narrow slightly, her tone becoming almost predatory. Jerry doesn’t seem to notice as he’s too busy looking over his shoulder at Sony, who’s staring back at him with an almost knowing gleam in his eyes.)
JERRY STEWER
(Forcing a smile, backing away slowly)
Right! Uh, I’ll be right back. Just gotta check on a few things... make sure everything’s... in order.
SALLY ANDERSON
(Cheerfully, noticing Jerry’s unease)
Don’t worry, Jerry. Everything’s under control. Go ahead and take a break. We’ve got this!
(Jerry, looking slightly frazzled, gives a small wave and walks off hurriedly toward the back of the store. He mutters to himself as he goes.)
JERRY STEWER
(To himself, feeling unsure)
Yeah, that... that went well. That definitely went well.
(As Jerry walks away, Darcy watches him, a small, almost mischievous smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. Sony hops down from the shelf and follows her with a quiet, almost calculating gaze.)
DARCY ALLISON
(Softly to herself, looking after Jerry with a slight chuckle)
Yes... this will be perfect.
(Her voice lowers, almost a whisper, as she speaks to Sony.)
DARCY ALLISON
(Smiling, sinister undertone)
Just a little push... and everything will fall right into place.
(Sony twitches his ears as if in agreement.)
Scarlet Ravenscroft[]
Zydrate Anatomy[]
Final Battle[]
JERRY
Come on, ponies! We need to run, now!
(The group bolts down the busy New York City street, weaving through pedestrians. The Mane Six struggle to keep up with the chaos of the city, dodging bikes, food carts, and tourists taking selfies.)
RAINBOW DASH
I’m used to flying, not running through a concrete jungle!
RARITY
And this is no place for a lady to be galloping about!
(Darcy gains on them, her dark magic swirling as she prepares to cast a spell.)
DARCY
You think you can escape me? Think again!
(She releases a blast of dark magic, but PINKIE PIE spots it and yells.)
PINKIE PIE
Incoming magical zapper!
(The group ducks just in time as the spell zips overhead, hitting a hot dog stand instead. The vendor yelps as the stand begins to roll away, creating even more chaos on the street.)
JERRY
This way, quick!
(Jerry spots a narrow alleyway—a perfect shortcut. He gestures frantically, leading the Mane Six into the alley just as Darcy and Sony round the corner.)
INT. ALLEYWAY – DAY
(The Mane Six and Jerry dash through the alley, hurdling over trash cans and narrowly avoiding stray cats. They make a sharp turn down another side street, putting some distance between them and their pursuers.)
SONY
(barking excitedly)
Woof! Woof!
DARCY
Quiet, Sony! I’m trying to track them down.
(Darcy stops at the entrance of the alley, scanning the area with narrowed eyes. Her expression turns frustrated as she loses sight of the group. She turns to Sony.)
DARCY
No sign of them... But they won’t get far. I know exactly what I’m going to do next.
(She kneels down to Sony’s level, her smile turning wicked.)
DARCY
We’ll drain their magic, Sony. All of it. And once we do, no one will stand in our way.
(Sony lets out an approving bark, and Darcy smirks before standing up. With a final, confident look, she turns and walks away, leaving the alley behind.)
CUT TO:
INT. SEWER EXIT – DAY
(The camera pans down to reveal a manhole cover lifting slightly. The Mane Six and Jerry cautiously peek out. Seeing that the coast is clear, they climb out, looking exhausted but relieved.)
TWILIGHT SPARKLE
That was way too close...
WILLIAM
Tell me about it. Let’s get back to the apartment. We need to lay low until we figure out our next move.
(They hurry off, sprinting toward the Tank-Mobile as the sun begins to set, casting long shadows over the city.)
DADDY SHARK
Everyone, hop on!
CUT TO:
EXT. WILLIAM’S APARTMENT BUILDING – SUNSET
(The group arrives at the apartment building, panting and out of breath. Jerry opens the door, ushering them inside quickly.)
WILLIAM
I’ve never run so fast in my life... I need a hooficure after this!
APPLEJACK
Well, let’s get inside before that witch comes lookin' for us again.
(They slip into the building, the door closing behind them as the screen fades to black.)
