The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes returns for a third season because of the heavy fan demand that Marvel got after they replaced it with the lesser known Avengers Assemble. Season Three will be rebranded as The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes: Unlimited.

Season 3 will have 65 episodes and will focus on the Civil War and Ragnarok story arcs.

This is also the first Disney animated series to be rated TV-PG-LV due to the darker tone and much more mature themes such as death scenes being included (albeit edited, however - except in the Blu-Ray and DVD versions).

Overview[]

Season 3 will feature a major change in the Avengers as they are dealing with many threats from across the universe, but face the fear of a possible split because of a potential Civil War and on top of that, Surtur The Fire Demon has broke out of Muspelheim and declared Ragnarok on Asgard, Earth, and the rest of the universe but Can the Earth's Mightiest Heroes band together despite the threat of a Civil War to stop Asgard's oldest and darkest enemy?
