On April 27th, just a month before the launch of HBO Max, it was confirmed by Lord and Miller that if The Face Paint'nimal Gang Forever proves to be a success, then they would consider doing a TAF HBO Max special.

On May 27th, when The Face Paint'nimal Gang Forever premiered and became a success, it's been confirmed that due to that, they are now making plans for the special, though it should be expected to release around Spring of 2021.

On June 3rd, the title has been confirmed to be The Arachnid Friends: Myriapoda-strophe, with a synopsis also confirmed, being: "Kevin and his gang face their biggest challenge (even bigger than the one in Last Stand) when Ciller and Midder reunite all of the centipedes and millipedes just like them to sabotage Bug City, in which they call... The Myriapoda-strophe!"

On July 24th, a teaser trailer has been shown at Comic Con at Home.

  • The series contains human-sized/oversized anthropomorphic insects and arachnids.
  • It's animation would resemble Phil and Christopher's previous TV series, Clone High.
  • Somewhat, this show shares some similarities with the other Cartoon Network cartoon, The Face Paint'nimal Gang because:
    • Both air on Cartoon Network (obviously).
    • Both revolve around a group of friends.
    • Both aired from 2004 to 2007.
  • In a few episodes, characters from different Cartoon Network shows make a cameo. For example...
    • In TBD, when Midder the Millipede was messing with Ciller's portal invention, he exits, carrying Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls, who was screaming in fear, in his legs.
      • In the same episode, Ed from Ed Edd n Eddy appears in some part of the episode, though as a picture.
  • The four main characters made cameo appearances on other Cartoon Network shows:
    • Kevin and his gang appeared in the TFPG episode, TBD.
    • Cartoon Network Studios: The custom animation is Kevin, Miley, and Tashy watching K.R. about to sting the camera, only for his stinger to get stuck once the Cartoon Network Studios logo closes.
