Plot[]
The plot of Terminus is told in a multi-narrative format and features six characters as they experience and survive an extraterrestrial invasion.
Prologue[]
The film begins with a NASA probe journeying across the solar system with the objective of reaching Pluto. Suddenly, the probe is attacked by an unknown entity. Back on Earth, nearly two years later, NASA discovers that the probe stopped sending radio signals, and initially labels the probe as faulty before declaring the mission a failure. Time passes, and eventually, the entity is shown passing Mars as it makes its way to Earth. NASA scientists observe this and quickly warn the U.S. government, which proclaims a state of emergency. Other governments around the world follow suit. Initially believing the entity to be an asteroid, NASA finds that the entity is not an asteroid, but some sort of metal object that slowly enters Earth's orbit before completely stopping. As the object revolves around the planet, strange sounds come through the airwaves. Attempts to make contact with the object are made, but to no avail. At last, the object stops orbiting around Earth and begins to enter the atmosphere.
