She is comforted and encouraged by Lois, who gives her a pair of Blue Diamond Bracelets which were initially meant to be her birthday gift from Lois. Using the Technics she learned from the League, Starfire battles Circe's Furies (now joined by Kitten) and defeats them before going after Brainiac, rejecting Blackfire's advice that the villain cannot be stopped without the Omega Matrix. Back in Slade's lair, Batman and Nightwing continue battling the villain until one of Brainiac's machines triggers the volcano and leads Slade to his demise as the duo barely escapes. Starfire learns that her new bracelets contain the Matrix and she uses its power to upgrade her armor, giving it a new look, and successfully weakens Brainiac enough to destroy his machines and free her friends from the contracting force-field. Just then, Luthor demands that Starfire should let Brainiac alive so that he can help him clear his name, but gets in a petty fist fight with Project Cadmus' executive Max Lord, who wants to brainwash Brainiac and control his tech, leading Starfire to just finish off Brainiac at once. Starfire uses the last inch of the Matrix to undo the damage Brainiac caused and stop the volcanic activity in Slade's lair. The Society and the rest of Brainiac's Furies are taken back to jail as Blackfire is taken to prison by Superman in the Phantom Zone. Next day, the Titans enjoy Starfire's birthday as she is greatly honored by public as "Heroine of the Year" for saving the world.
