Tangle the Lemur is a one of the main protagonists in IDW Publishing's Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series, based on Sega's video game franchise of the same name. She is a teenage anthropomorphic ring-tailed lemur who first became acquainted with Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends during the fallout after the war to retake Sonic's world from Dr. Eggman (as seen in the 2017 video game Sonic Forces). When Tangle sprang into action to defend her hometown from Eggman's Badniks, she encountered Sonic when he stopped by to help, and they have been friends ever since.
Tangle was the first original IDW Sonic character to be shown to the public, and quickly became hugely popular upon her reveal in promotional material. She continues to enjoy strong positive reception from Sonic fans, even getting her own mini-series alongside fellow heroine Whisper the Wolf.

- Tangle appears in James Cameron's Sonic Cinematic Universe films Chaotix: Rise of the Iron Queen and Chaotix: Between Dark and Light, portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence through voice and motion capture. Along with her details from the IDW Publishing comics, this version is depicted as a member of the Chaotix Detective Agency.
- Tangle will appear in TBD and as well as other kinds of Sonic and SEGA-based projects, with her voice being provided by Ai Fairouz and Michaela Dietz in Japanese and English.
- Tangle appears in the Disney+ crossover miniseries Marvel's All-Star Multiverse, voiced by Melanie Minichino. First appearing in "The Sky's the Limit", she is among the Freedom Fighters who visit Babylon-6 following the Skycruiser Commandos' emergence on Mobius and public presentation on the Multiverse. Participating in a metahuman competitive contest hosted by Princess Istar, Tangle has a friendly spar with Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, who impresses her with her shapeshifting powers.
- Tangle appears in Sonic Presents... Chao in Space: Behind the Scenes, a comic book tie-in/prequel for Sonic Presents... Chao in Space. A member of the filming crew for the titular fictional movie, she and Belle the Tinkerer are responsible for the movie's art and production design. In the fifth issue, she also helps Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega with the costume design for Lyla the Echidna's portrayal of Tikal.

- Tangle appears in Unnamed Sonic 2025 anime, English Voice as Abby Trott, who also portrayed Kyarl in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising as Collab Lobby Avatar, Japanese Voice as Azumi Waki, who also portrayed Special Week in Umamusume Pretty Derby.
