Reception[]
The reception for the film was positive, with praise on the stunning visuals, memorable characters, and interesting plot. Many called it a faithful adaptation. Some of the more critical reviews were about the pacing. Most of the negative complaints came from the Warrior Cats fans, who didn't find it good because it wasn't a Warriors adaptation. Either way, the good heavily outweighed the bad.
At the box office, the film made 653 million against a 300 million budget, a major success.
Franchise[]
The success put all six books into the works, and maybe the second series, The Gathering Darkness, as well. The movie had a spin-off game, Survivors: The Empty City: The Game, along with a planned series, Survivors: Tales of the Pack.
