Superman: Hero of Steel is an American animated action-adventure-science fiction superhero television series based on Superman by DC Comics, being created by TBD. It is produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation and it has aired on WB Kids since June 6th, 2020.

Sypnosis

The series follows Superman's adventures and his constant battle against crime in Metropolis while leading with his double life as Clark Kent.

  • Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman (voiced by Josh Keaton) - a young adult who believes in truth and justice as he is in reality an alien from the planet Krypton as he heads to protect Metropolis from vicious threats.

  • Lois Lane (voiced by Lacey Chabert) - a friendly and intrepid journalist who befriends Clark and tries to figure out who is the Superman, being unaware that he is Clark himself.
  • Jimmy Olsen (voiced by Jason Spisak) - an intern at the Daily Planet who quickly befriends Clark and is a fan of Superman, labeling himself his pal and wants to make him proud.
  • Perry White (voiced by J.K. Simmons) - the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet who is protective of his employees and prefers to stick to the truth over favoring shady interests like the ones of LexCorp.

  • Lana Lang (voiced by Felicia Day) - Clark's childhood best friend who is aware of his secret identity as Superman and who he had a crush on when they were teenagers. She is a highly successful fashion model who uses her influence to keep Clark's identity a secret.

  • Kon-El/Conner Kent/Superboy (voiced by Robbie Daymond) - a genetic clone of Superman who was created to kill Superman if he turns evil as he soon becomes a close ally and support to Superman.

  • Lex Luthor (voiced by Michael Rosenbaum) - the charismatic but corrupt founder and CEO of LexCorp who believes Superman to be a menace as he has developed various ways to try to kill him.
    • Mercy Graves (voiced by Ashley Johnson) - Lex's near-emotionless secretary who turns out to be an android designed by Lex for the purpose of her not questioning him back.
  • General Dru-Zod (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) - a rogue Kryptonian general who finds what Superman dares protect to be worthless as he plans to completely conquer Earth.
    • Ursa (voiced by Tara Platt) - Zod's vicious second-in-command who believes humanity to weak and agrees with Zod's morals and goals. She is also Zod's mate and respects him greatly.
    • Non (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) - Zod's advisor and chief scientist who is also incredibly buff and powerful. Throughout the series, he works on perfecting the cloning process in order to recreate the Kryptonian race.
  • Vril Dox/Brainiac (voiced by Eric Bauza) - an alien android who has an obsession with collecting planets and finds Earth to be the perfect addition to his collection.
