Plot Elements[]
- In Sarasaland, Queen Daisy gives birth to a baby boy; however, her people begin disintegrating into golden dust particles.
- Three weeks after the victory of Galeem in the "Battle of Light", 64% of life has been confirmed to be decimated.
- King Mario has been adrift in space while trying to find a way home. After the spaceship runs out of gas and oxygen, Mario sends a final message out to Queen Peach and prepares to kill himself with a Poison Mushroom, but before he can eat it, Cappy arrives on his spaceship.
- Cappy rescues Mario and returns him to Earth, where he reunites with Peach, Daisy, and the surviving Super Smash Bros.; however, Mario not too pleased with them (especially Link I, following the Civil War).
- Samus Aran determines that the Controllers and the only tools needed to undo the "lightening", bringing all of Galeem's decimated victims back to life. Before Galeem fled, Samus managed to plant a tracker on the Controllers; any usage would alert the Smash Bros. to their presence. After the Controllers were allegedly used yesterday, the tracker went off, directing Galeem's presence to a small planet on the far side of the universe. Fox McCloud, determined to redeem himself for failing to stop Galeem, eagerly says, "Let's finish this ugly old broad!"
- On the planet, Galeem, who was weakened by the fatal blast she suffered from Fox, with only a few days left to live, is seen attending the burial place of her family. Suddenly, the Smash Bros. ambush and restrain her. Kirby inhales the Power Glove, but after spitting it out, he discovers that the Controllers are not on the Power Glove.
- Dharkon Cut: Link actually cuts Galeem's Power Glove arm off, causing lots of blood to splurt out.
- When interrogated, Galeem reveals that after bringing light back to the universe, the Controllers "served no purpose beyond temptation", so she destroyed the Controllers with the Controllers to prevent further usage, thus preventing the Smash Bros. from undoing her actions; therefore, Galeem declares, "It's Game Over." Outraged, Fox blasts Galeem's head off, proclaiming that he "went for the head".
- Dharkon Cut: A shot of Galeem's headless body—with blood gushing out of her head and arm—is shown.
- Six years later, the Super Smash Bros. are still active, trying to move on from their defeat against Galeem; Mario has left the team.
- Fox has become more disillusioned as he has begun shooting criminals and villains in the head—only being stopped by Samus from killing Pacrepoa Menace.
- Dharkon Cut: Pacrepoa Menace is revealed to have a device that disguises him a many enemies from the previous mainline NCU films (I.E.: The Goomba from Super Mario Bros.)
- Fox has become more disillusioned as he has begun shooting criminals and villains in the head—only being stopped by Samus from killing Pacrepoa Menace.
- Elsewhere, in an old, abandoned laboratory, a rat accidentally frees Piranha Plant from the Afterlife. Using his knowledge, he visits the Super Smash Bros. HQ, hoping to visit Mario (whom he had a previous encounter with); to his surprise, he learns that Mario has quit the group six years ago.
- Piranha Plant explains to the remaining members about his visit to the Afterlife:
- Flashback: While stranded, Piranha learned that the Afterlife had two locations:
- Inferno (the equivalent of Hell)
- Paradiso (the equivalent of Heaven)
- Flashback: While stranded, Piranha learned that the Afterlife had two locations:
- Piranha Plant explains that in these three places, he found seven strange devices with buttons and joysticks attached to them; the Super Smash Bros. deduce them to be the Controllers that were used to wipe out 64% of life throughout the universe. Thus, the SSB strive to build a machine that allows them access to the Afterlife, and their suspicions are confirmed when Piranha Plant reveals that he accidentally brought a Controller back with him from Paradiso when he was accidentally brought back to life.
- Mario is visited by the SSB for assistance, but he refuses to take of his wife Peach and six-year-old daughter Camilla.
- To build the machine, the SSB recruit eleven more members for assistance:
- Ren Amamiya
- The Luminary
- Banjo and Kazooie
- Terry Bogard
- Dharkon Cut: Terry has been fatally beating up evil people that he felt were unjustly spared by Galeem.
- Byleth
- Min Min
- Steve
- Pyra/Mythra
- Kazuya Mishima
- Sora
- Marth, Pit, Ryu, and Simon are recruited off-screen to help them as well.
- The process involves stopping the hearts of all the SSB, allowing them to access the Afterlife. Once all the Controllers have been found, Red's Charizard would then push a button on the machine, allowing the SSB to return back to life; unfortunately, they each only have enough power for ONE trip. Before their trip, Mario arrives to join them after having a change of heart.
- In an earlier scene, shown after the SSB left Mario and his family, Peach convinced him to go, promising him that she and Camilla are "going to be alright".
- So, the SSB enter the machine and have their hearts stopped by a reluctant Charizard.
- As they enter, most of the SSB are allowed into Paradiso; only Kazuya is forced to enter Inferno.
- In Paradiso, the SSB learn that all the living beings destroyed by Galeem do not exist in neither of the Afterlife areas, as they are now part of the universe's lifespan.
- Dharkon Cut: They also learn that they're universe is actually more of a multiverse.
- After collecting three of the six remaining Controllers in Paradiso, Fox reluctantly starts causing a ruckus until his soul is damned to enter Inferno.
- While in Inferno, Kazuya begins searching for certain person, but despite his search all throughout the world, he cannot find him.
- Dharkon Cut: Those who entered Inferno learn that there was apparently ANOTHER survivor of Galeem's previous universe: Dharkon.
- Dharkon was the corrupt governor of Galeem's universe. While he was at war with the rebellion, he learned of Galeem's participation and preparation to sacrifice the corrupt government and save the universe. Unfortunately, the universe was destroyed, but Dharkon managed to survive as well, vowing revenge on Galeem.
- Meanwhile, Galeem has been imprisoned in Inferno for her crimes.
- Dharkon Cut: Galeem has been forced into prostitution, enduring countless days of gang rape as punishment.
- While imprisoned, Galeem comes across and overhears Fox talk about finding the final two Controllers for usage to bring back the 64% of life that she had decimated six years ago.
- While in Inferno, Kazuya has an encounter and battle with Sephiroth, who tries to steal Kazuya's headset in the hopes of returning to life to take revenge on Cloud Strife.
- Once Fox collects the final two Controllers, the SSB send their signal to Charizard, who activates the machine to bring them back to life.
- With the Controllers back in their possession, the SSB assemble them on the Power Glove and one of them activates it; however, when they try to contact their fallen comrades, nobody answers, leading them to question if they succeeded or not.
- Meanwhile, Galeem escapes from her imprisonment and, reclaiming her spaceship, makes her way back to the living world—just as the Power Glove is activated—and attacks the SSB HQ, destroying it and trapping Marth, Pit, Ryu, Simon, Piranha Plant, Ren, Banjo, Kazooie, Terry, Byleth, Min Min, Steve, Pyra/Mythra, Kazuya, and Sora underneath the rubble.
- Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby Fox, and Red come across Galeem and decide to finish her off again.
- Dharkon Cut: Before confront Galeem, Samus proclaims that—as of 12 AM—THIS was the day they all first met.
- As the SSB confront her, Galeem declares that her plan of restoring life to the universe, by sacrificing a certain amount of life to return it to 100%, was ultimately a failure. Mario explains that no universe can live forever, so all they can do make use of what's left of it. Galeem, dissatisfied by this, announces a new plan: she will absorb all living organisms into the Power Glove—only brining back one male and female slab of bacteria back to life to restart life—and use what's left to continue prolonging the universe's life...while continuously absorbing the unnecessary living organisms to continue the universe's eternal existence—she will dub this universe as a "World of Light". When Link reminds her that her World of Light will “shine on a foundation of blood", Galeem reassures them that the new world would never know as she plans to kill the SSB beforehand.
- Despite their preparations and best efforts, the SSB are overpowered and easily defeated by Galeem.
- Link's mystical sword is destroyed.
- Dharkon Cut: Galeem rips off one of Charizard's wings.
- Galeem reassures the SSB that she always regretted every crime and sin that she performed...but after what the SSB had done, she declares that what she will do will be the most satisfying thing she had ever done. Suddenly, Galeem entire army, Tabuu and his Subspace Army, and Master Core and his dark soldiers show up, having also found their way back to life with the help of Galeem.
- Link, who is still conscious, becomes terrified and loses hope...until he has a vision of the Goddess Hylia—whom he hadn't since awakening Princess Zelda II—in the Sacred Realm.
- Disappointed, Hylia taunts Link's willingness to actually accept defeat...something he NEVER usually does. Link claims that without his sword, he can't win, but Hylia explains that it wasn't the sword that made him—as he NEVER needed it in any of his battles. Link goes on to claim that he couldn't defeat Galeem THEN and can't defeat Galeem NOW, but Hylia goes on to explains that he NEVER lost as he never would have found the Controllers if he just accepted defeat; nobody "loses" until they decide. As she prepares to walk away, Link further claims that even then, he will NEVER be as strong as her, but Hylia further claims that Link is STRONGER than her, and even if he couldn't beat Galeem alone, he was NEVER alone—not back then, and definitely not NOW. When Link becomes confused, the last words he hears from the great goddess of Hyrule is "Look behind you..."
- Snapping back to reality, Link looks behind him and sees a portal open up...and out of the portal steps Chrom and the Shepherds.
- As the rest of the SSB regain consciousness, more portals open up, revealing the rest of the heroes who lost against Galeem; on top of that, more fighters and warriors show up to help...including Peach and Queen Daisy.
- Link I is given the Kokiri Sword by Link III (as he has the Fierce Deity sword to wield with his Fierce Deity mask).
- All of a sudden, Sephiroth, having found his way back to the world of the living with Galeem's indirect help, arrives and frees the remainder of the SSB trapped within the rubble.
- The Odyssey shows up and Cappy flies out to the hero side. Mario gets on his feet and rushes over to Cappy, bouncing off the heads of his allies, until he reaches the front and catches Cappy. As he puts Cappy on his head, he glares at Galeem's army and says, "...Let'sa go!" And with that, the final battle with Galeem began as both sides charged at each other to do battle—thus commencing the "War of Light".
- Dharkon Cut: Pacrepoa Menace escapes.
- During the battle, Mario demands Manado from Shulk to see if this will become the one out of fourteen-million-six-hundred-and-five outcomes in which they win, but Shulk again refuses and instead claims that "it won't happen" if Mario sees it.
- As Galeem's aerial forces begin decimating the heroes, a reformed Master and Crazy Hand arrive to take care of them; Galeem's spaceship is destroyed as well.
- Dharkon Cut: When a second wave of Galeem's army arrives, another set of allies to the SSB arrive to dispatch them.
- The second SSB wave consists of some characters from the Post-Galeem Saga movies of Stage 5:
- Piranha Plant reveals that he also built a portal that has access to the center of the Earth. The heroes try to use it to transport the Power Glove and Controllers in the hopes of destroying them, but Galeem manages to destroy the machine at the last second and reclaim them.
- The SSB heroes (the ones listed above in the "Cast" section) try to defeat Galeem one-by-one (or MORE than just one on some occasions), but they are overpowered.
- Mario saves Shulk by using Manado but accidentally sees the one outcome in which they would win.
- After some hesitation, Mario reluctantly makes a final attempt to stop Galeem but is knocked back by her. With the Controllers in place on the Power Glove, she once again triumphantly declares, "It's Game Over!" And she activates the Power Gloves...except nothing happens—as Mario swapped Galeem's Power Glove with an imitation. She looks at Mario and becomes horrified when he puts it on.
- In victory, Mario utters, "No, it isn't. It's...It's......It's...........................Its'a me, Mario!" And then, he activates the Power Glove.
- Before Galeem's army can overpower the heroes, they suddenly disintegrate into golden dust particles one-by-one. Mario used the Power Glove to sacrifice Galeem army into the universe's lifespan. As the last one to go, Galeem sits down and shed a tear in defeat before she disintegrates as well.
- Unfortunately, the power of the Power Glove became too much for Mario to handle as it left him greatly weakened and near death. Despite desperately trying to cling on to what's left of his life.
