Super Agency is an animated mix of a workplace comedy and an action series, having thirty episodes per season.
Synopsis[]
Set in a world where fights between heroes and villains are scripted akin to wrestling, the series follows the operatives of the Chicago branch of the Super Agency, exploring the chaos and hilarity that is brainstorming and planning fights while dealing with other corporate aspects of the superhero world.
Characters[]
Main Cast[]
- Harry Shayne (voiced by Sam Riegel) - the cocky and somewhat douchey but friendly son of legendary superhero, the Turtle, who chose to not follow his dad's footsteps and is instead the head of the Super Agency's Chicago Branch, being responsible for recruiting new heroes and villains, keeping people happy and making sure that the writing of hero and villain fights is great. He can sometimes pitch absolutely stupid and insane ideas and is sometimes insensitive to his coworkers but truly just wants to put on a show for everyone to enjoy.
- Rebecca Hillberry (voiced by Allegra Clark) - a deadpan and professional writer who is one of many writers writing the encounters and fights between heroes and villains as it is clear that she had lost the passion for the job, usually relying on tropes, having to deal with both Harry's insane demands as well as the words of heroes and villains. She loves drinking as well, usually drinking on the job.
- Riku Nishizawa (voiced by Aleks Le) - an insane and chaos loving writer from Japan who was brought on to help Rebecca writing stories, with him being the pure opposite of Rebecca, enjoying making insane and bombastic set pieces, although he can get angry when corporate doesn't give him the funding he needs, also having a childlike view on the world.
- Becky “Becks” O’Blues (voiced by Laura Bailey) - a flamboyant and fashion forward as well as people savvy PR manager whose focus is on advertising heroes and villains as well as making multiple brand deals and marketing stunts. However, she can be overly full of herself and thinks she is hot shit, causing her to cause a lot of problems sometimes, although she claims her primary focus is on showing the world the wonder of heroes.
- Dina Thompson (voiced by Zehra Fazal) - an extremely stressed out intern at the Chicago Branch who only took the job as an intern to help pay for her tuition for college and to live as she is often thrust into the chaos and madness of the Super Agency, just wanting to attempt to live a normal life but is often thrust into chaos due to her job as an intern causing her to be forced to go all across the HQ to "help" people, becoming a chaotic multitasker.
- Jack Hopkins (voiced by Troy Baker) - the cynical and grouchy HR manager of the Chicago Branch whose mission is to make sure that each heroes and villains and other employees are comfortable at their working positions, with nobody really liking Jack but reluctantly having to deal with him and his cynical nature due to him being the only trained HR professional.
- Michael "Mike" Grayson (voiced by Robbie Daymond) - the aggressive and fight-loving while also explosives loving fight coordinator and special effects artist of the Chicago Branch who focuses on making the best and most intriguing fights that could ever happen in the city of Chicago, although he usually gets reprimanded thanks to his fights almost always going over budget and taking "creative liberties" from the scripts.
- Cindy Crocker/Blitz (voiced by Kimberly Brooks) - one of the Chicago branch's greatest and most popular heroes who is a speedster with the capability of going extremely fast, usually being picked to join insane and crazy fights. Behind the scenes, she is a little upset about how little interesting fights she has been getting, sometimes trying to pitch crazier fights for her to get in, being a mainly goofy and silly figure, enjoying making jokes but thinks that she deserves a chance to shine.
- Rodney Palmer/Mesmermind (voiced by Bumper Robinson) - one of the Chicago branch's many supervillains and the assigned nemesis to Blitz who is capable of enslaving minds to do his bidding, usually being defeated at the hands of Blitz. Behind the scenes, he is a shockingly chill and friendly guy, using his mind control powers to help resolve conflicts, although he loves pretending to be a villain thanks to him being a classically trained Broadway actor.
- Shawn Haltman/Nebula Man (voiced by Travis Willingham) - Chicago's greatest hero who is an indestructible flying hero capable of blasting out beams of pure starlight as he has a fifty year exclusivity deal with the Chicago Branch. In the real world he can be a bit of a show-off and lets the fame go to his head but is truly a kind and passionate man who loves being a hero, even if it is all scripted.
- Judy Kimberly/Illusion (voiced by Marissa Lenti) - one of the Chicago branch’s many supervillains and one of many nemeses to Nebula Man who is capable of manipulating hallucinations and tricking other people, using them as distractions. Behind the scenes, she’s a massive party animal who instead of studying lines usually prefers to host massive and wild raves and parties.
- TBD
- Nathan Modell/The Destroyer (voiced by Gabe Kunda) - one of Chicago's superheroes who is a short-tempered metal-skilled half-giant with tremendous strength and durability, often fighting a plethora of threats and villains, being capable of transforming to his metal form and his human form. In reality, Nathan is quite lazy and often slacks off from rehearsing, with this causing other people frustration.
Recurring[]
- Thomas Jackall (voiced by Matthew Mercer) - the egotistical and flamboyant owner and CEO of the Super Agency who serves as Harry's superior and boss as he resides in a floating island known as Paradise and occasionally visits the Chicago Branch to check their progress on heroics and often pitches dumb and stupid changes for the sake of thrills.
- Sandy Starlight (voiced by Ashley Johnson) - a mega popular pop idol and heroine who operates out of Chicago, being capable of creating items and tools out of pure light itself, having dozens of pop singles and adoring fans. In actuality, she is quite vain and shallow, being only obsessed with fame and seeing herself on top of other heroes and villains in popularity.
- Mega Tiger - a powerful yet disciplined tiger-like kaiju beast who is thrust into fighting giant monsters threatening Chicago, being capable of performing sonic wave attacks with his roars. In actually, he is an average zoo tiger who is used by the Super Agency as a basis for his character, usually needing snacks and treats in order to play nice, although he is capable of growing in size.
- Mighty Vulcan - a short-tempered yet intelligent and well-meaning kaiju Gorilla who resides in a volcano and has the ability to manipulate fire and heat, being both a rival to Mega Tiger and also his ally against giant monsters attacking Chicago. In actuality, he is an average zoo gorilla who is used by the Super Agency as a basis for his character, being sometimes stubborn, but still well-behaved, although he and Mega Tiger can sometimes cause chaos and madness.
- Dora Kingsley (voiced by Erin Yvette) - a focused yet sometimes eccentric reporter who is the star reporter of the Super Network, being responsible for interviewing heroes and those behind the scenes of the heroes to make the entertainment real, with her questions sometimes embarrassing people thanks to her desire to dig deep.
