History[]
Stop Animotion Studios was founded by Chinese Taiwanese-born animator Dai Yin Wu in 1891.
In 1982, it was announced that Aardman of UK and Wang Film Productions of Taiwan would acquired the animation studio for 90% (Aardman) and 80% (Wang). And later then, some employees of Aardman and Wang Film Productions (along with CGCG Inc., Thai Wang Film Productions, PT Asiana Wang, and Hong Guang Animation) joined as the staff members. The studio became a Chinese subcontractor of Wang Film Productions itself.
The animation studio once received a Guinness World Record for being the oldest overseas animation facility in 1991 in honor of its 90th anniversary.
In 2013, it was announced that it would acquired Canada-based animation studio Pipeline Studios for 30%, however it didn't happened.
The studio also has three separated animation studios, Digitanimation (数字动画公司, Shùzì dònghuà gōngsī, 數位動畫公司), which does outsourced CGI, VFX, Flash, and 2D rigged animation, Traditionanimation (传统动画, Chuántǒng dònghuà, 傳統動畫), which does outsourced traditional cel (Ink-and-paint) and tradigital animation (digital Ink-and-paint), and Framemation (框架化, Kuàngjià huà, 框架化), which does outsourced stop-motion animation. Which have the same 23 offices in China and around the world.

Digitanimation Inc.[]
Digitanimation Inc. (Simplified Chinese: 数字动画公司, pingyin: Shùzì dònghuà gōngsī, Traditional Chinese: 數位動畫公司, a combination of Digital and Animation, also known as Shanghai Digitanimation Co, Ltd. in credits) is a Chinese animation studio that produces outsourced CGI, visual effects, Flash animation, and 2D rigged animation with Stop Animotion Studios/Independently. In 1990 the studio would become partners with fellow Chinese animation studio Stop Animotion Studios for production of the three first CGI TV shows VeggieTales, ReBoot, and Insektors and the first CGI movie Toy Story (by Disney and Pixar). It is also owned by various Asian and European Animation Studios who do outsourcing animation for Flash and Traditional shows and movies when marked it as their "3DCG, Flash, 2D rigged, and VFX" (for outsourced traditional cel studios), and/or "3DCG and VFX" (for outsourced Flash studios and/or both outsourced traditional cel, 2D rigged and Flash studios) animation studio.
On March 15, 2010, after C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures closed down its doors, Digitanimation took its place and had another office in Canada (which there's already a Canadian office of Digitanimation in Montreal, which had done outsourced animation for Tractor Tom, Wonder Pets!, Special Agent Oso, WordWorld, Henson Puppetry Digital, Toy Story 1-3, Cars, and Ratatouille) for production of shows and films for the 2010/2011 slate like Ni Hao, Kai-Lan, The Adventures of Chuck & Friends, Pirates, Cars 2, and more, on March 15, 2011, one year after when C.O.R.E. closed down, the Montreal office closed its doors with its new and upcoming productions moving into Toronto with the former C.O.R.E. staff.
The studio is also a Chinese subcontractor of Taiwanese animation studio CGCG Inc.
