Star Wars: Episode IX - A Galaxy United, marketed as Star Wars: A Galaxy United, is a 2021 film directed by Rick Famuyiwa, co-written by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni; and produced by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and Bad Robot Productions. The film's ensemble cast includes Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Lorenzo Zurzolo, and Oscar Isaac.

The film is sequel to Episode VII and Episode VIII, and the final film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Episode IX
A GALAXY UNITED

The master has arrived! Finn has returned with LUKE SKYWALKER in an attempt to save the rest of the Republic fleet from the clutches of the Final Empire during the BATTLE OF CRAIT.

However, it may be too late as LEIA ORGANA-SOLO has already perished. The Republic is all but shattered while the Final Empire has already spread to the farthest reaches of the galaxy, and only a few scattered planets remain unoccupied. Traitorous acts are punishable by death. Determined to suffocate a growing unrest, Supreme Leader JACEN SOLO has silenced all communication between neighboring systems.

Finn hopes to spark a revolution within the diabolical FINAL EMPIRE as he plans a desperate prison break to save his friends Poe and Rey. Meanwhile, STARKILLER interrogates Rey about her mysterious past....

Synopsis[]

Finn and Luke must race against the clock to find out the Final Empire's whereabouts to save Rey and Poe, while Poe prepares for execution at the hands of Captain Phasma and Rey anticipates her inevitable confrontation with Jacen Solo. Meanwhile, Lando and Zorii help build the Resistance's forces to prepare for the battle with the Final Empire's army.
