The film is produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Animation Studios, directed by Daron Nefcy and co-directed by Joss Whedon. It will be released on April 2023.
Premise[]
Star and Marco adapt to their new lives several months after Earth and Mewni merge together and explore the new world that they had created, but when an old and familiar enemy returns seeking revenge, Star discovers a secret that leads to something far darker than Magic itself and must face her greatest challenge yet...

Animation[]
Despite being based on a Disney animated TV series is sold by Disney's another series, Phineas and Ferb, the film was jointly produced by Phineas and Ferb Cartoons Inc, in Rough Draft Korea. Development began at Phineas and Ferb Cartoons Inc. in Glendale and pre-production was done at the main Phineas and Ferb Cartoons Inc. studio in Burbank. Phineas and Ferb Cartoons Inc, Studios, Rough Draft Korea all worked together on the animation with the additional scenes animated at Rough Draft's sister studio in South Korea and clean-up work done at the main Burbank studio. Additional clean-up animation was done by Phineas and Ferb Cartoons Inc. for the fifth season of Phienas and Ferb.
