She was about to exit of the train but she accidentally bumps into a blue inkling named Bloo (Justin Long). As they went in, she met her friends Debbi (Kristen Schaal), Marco (Harvey Guillén), April (Maya Rudolph) & Justin (Bill Hader) and went to the lobby. After Ika won won the turf war, Bloo lost when he must practice the turf war. The next day, the inklings practice the turf war when they used their weapons. One night, Ika & Bloo discovered the Octo UFO which crashed landed. At night, the inklings went to their home called The Squid House and went to bed.
The next day at Ika's home, Ika is shocked when the Squid Sisters, Callie (Britney Spears) & Marie (Billie Eilish), announced the Great Zapfish is squidnapped by DJ Octavio and the Octarians. She tells Bloo how the Octarians did it and they met Captain Cuttlefish (Mahito Yokota) after that. All the inklings travelled to the Octo Valley and they met a lime inkling named Ashley AKA. Agent 3 (Tina Fey). She tells the six Inklings to go on the Zapfish mission to defeat every octarian and rescue every zapfish.
For the first mission, the seven inklings need to hunt the Octarians down and rescue 4 of the zapfishes. When they arrived, the Octostamp tries to stomp them all, but they dodged, splats the Octostamp and rescued one zapfish. The seven inklings rescued 9 zapfishes, defeated the Octonozzle and rescued another zapfish in their second mission.
The third mission begins, with 14 zapfishes needed to be rescued. After they defeated the Octowhirl, Captain Cuttlefish is captured by DJ Octavio, while Bloo, Marco and Justin are captured by a group of Octolings. Ika, Debbi, April and Ashley met Callie & Marie (known as Agents 1 and 2) and they traveled to the Octoling base.
The forth mission begins shortly after. As the six female inklings are rescuing zapfishes, they saw Bloo, Marco and Justin, tied up by the Octolings. Ika defeated every Octoling as she rescued Bloo, Marco, Justin and the zapfish. After they traveled to the Octomaw base and defeats the Octomaw, the Inklings met three Octolings named Rose, Scarlet & Jazzy. The final mission begins as the nine inklings rescued all of the zapfishes. They traveled into DJ Octavio's UFO and saw Captain Cuttlefish tied up. They also saw DJ Octavio who stole the Great Zapfish. The nine Inklings are off to the rescue. When Ika, Bloo, Debbi, Marco, April, Justin and Ashley rescued Captain Cuttlefish, they heard Callie & Marie singing "Calamari Inkantation". Once they defeated DJ Octavio, the Great Zapfish freed itself from the Octobot king and they escaped.
As Inkopolis is saved, Callie & Marie announced the Splatfest has begun. Ika tells Bloo that he must win the turf war on the Splatfest. After they won the Splatfest, Ika & Bloo kissed as Bloo is now Ika's love interest, and every inkling celebrated the Splatfest party in Inkopolis as the fireworks arrives, writing "Thank you, Inklings!".
Sometime later, after moving into a Squid House, the Inklings travel to the lobby to play Turf War.
