Spirit Untamed is an upcoming American adventure film, directed by Elaine Bogan and screenplay by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. It is a live-action remake of DreamWorks Animation's 2021 animated film Spirit Untamed which itself was based on characters from the Netflix spin-off television series Spirit Riding Free, developed by Aury Wallington and the traditionally animated Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002). The film stars Vivien Lyra Blair, Jaidyn Triplett, Elizabeth Allen-Dick, Justin Long, Kenan Thompson, and Rachel McAdams, with Jake Gyllenhaal reprising his role as James "Jim" Prescott from the animated films.
Produced by DreamWorks Animation and Mandeville Films, the film is set to be released theatrically by Universal Pictures in the United States on March 3, 2028.
