Sonic the Hedgehog is an American action-adventure comic book series based on Sonic the Hedgehog by Sega, being published by Archie Comics from November 9th, 2002 until December 28th, 2016 and by IDW Publishing since April 4th, 2018.

Synopsis

Set in a world combining the events of SatAM with the mainline games, Sonic leads a resistance group that positions itself against Eggman's forces.

• Sonic the Hedgehog - a chill and adventurous hedgehog with superhuman speed who leads the Freedom Fighters and is willing to free Mobius TBD.
• Miles "Tails" Prower - a friendly and intelligent twin-tailed fox who is Sonic's best friend and creates most of the Fighters' gadgets, even if some of them don't work as he expected or backfire at him.

• Antoine D'Coolette - a skilled and rather flamboyant French-accented coyote who is a skilled swordsman and is capable of TBD.
• Scarlette O'Hare/Bunnie Rabbot - a friendly and loyal Southern-accented half-cyborg female rabbit who is Sally's best friend and helps the Freedom Fighters to fight villains as her real name was revealed later on and she soon begins to use it and revitalize her image due to this.

Digital Revolution - Nicole is facing a dilemma: she recently started seeing Tails in a whole new light after being freed from the Iron Queen's control as she tries to gain confidence to ask him out, although there's also the fact she is an A.I. in addition to Cream already having a crush on him. However, that situation changes after they got captured by Fang's gang in order to blackmail the Freedom Fighters into giving TBD to them as Tails slowly starts falling TBD with her.

Forbidden Love - After saving Amy from the grasps of an underwater monster, Sonic starts developing a strange new feeling towards her, although he's already dating Sally and he doesn't want to break her heart once more as he keeps their relationship a secret while handling a surprise attack led by Metal Sonic.
58. Souls of Iron - Knuckles, while hunting for clues about the Dark Legion's whereabouts, gets captured and brainwashed by the Iron Queen as he is sent to hunt down Monkey Khan, who is controlled by Eggman. While this is happening, Sonic tries to locate Knuckles.
59. Near Death - While hunting Knuckles down, Sonic encounters an older Mammoth Mogul who claims to be dying and only the Master Geode can save him from his death as Sonic reluctantly aids him in his hunt.
