Sonic: Elemental

Sonic: Elemental is an American action-adventure-science fiction-fantasy comic book series based on Sonic the Hedgehog by Sega, being published by IDW Publishing since TBD 2021.

Synopsis

Set in a highly futuristic world, the vicious Eggman Empire has conquered all as a rebellious speedster known as Sonic heads to stop him as well as learning about the energies that make the world work: the elements.

Characters

Main

• Sonic the Hedgehog - a goofy and rebellious hedgehog who can run at extremely fast speeds and heads to liberate his city.
• Miles "Tails" Prower - Sonic's best friend who is a skilled hacker as he is one of the smartest people in Mobius and helps him out.
• Knuckles the Echidna - an echidna who has made an oath to bring honor back to his clan as he quickly befriends Sonic.
• Amy Rose - Sonic's childhood friend who is usually very cocky and uses a hammer capable of smashing through objects.
• Cream the Rabbit - a shy rabbit and Amy's best friend who both is a surprisingly skilled archer and can fly.
  • Cheese the Chao - a friendly and goofy Chao who is Cream's pet as he follows her around.

• Longclaw the Owl - a wise owl who is Sonic's mother figure as she wants to make sure that he is safe from harm.
• Tangle the Lemur - a charismatic and slightly dumb lemur who is Sonic's very friendly rival.
  • Whisper the Wolf - a shy wolf who is Tangle's partner as she wants to make sure that she is safe.
• The Chaotix, consisting of:
  • Vector the Crocodile - a slightly greedy alligator who leads the detective group known as the Chaotix.
  • Espio the Chameleon - a ninja chameleon who is the stealth master of the Chaotix Detective Agency.
  • Charmy Bee - a goofy and friendly bee who is the youngest member of the Chaotix.
  • Mighty the Armadillo - a slightly anger-prone armadillo who is the biggest brawns of the Chaotix.
  • Ray the Flying Squirrel - a quick and fast-talking squirrel who is Ray's best friend and another Chaotix member.
• Tikal the Echidna - one of the other remaining members of Knuckles' tribe who is extremely wise and protective.
• Guardian Units of Nations, consisting of:
  • Comd. Abraham Tower - the leader of the paramilitary group known as G.U.N. who finds Eggman to be a serious threat and wants to defeat him and find a suitable leader for Mobius.
  • Rouge the Bat - a talented agent of G.U.N. who is a skilled spy in many regards.
  • Agent Topaz - Rouge's no nonsense partner who is practically emotionless and is sometimes reckless.
  • Prof. Dillon Pickle - a top scientist for G.U.N. who despite his senile age is a good weapon maker.
• Shadow the Hedgehog - a mysterious clone of Sonic designed to be the ultimate life form as he is an on and off ally.
• Silver the Hedgehog - a psychic hedgehog who comes from a parallel universe as he arrived on the prime universe to protect his.
  • Blaze the Cat - Silver's partner who can fire waves of fire and also went to the prime universe to save their universe.
• Gov. Elise - the governor of the nation of Soleanna who wants to protect her nation from the growing power of Eggman.
• Mina Mongoose - a popular pop star who is extremely friendly and bubbly.
• Honey the Cat - a friendly fashion designer who helps design outfits, especially for Mina.
  • Marine the Raccoon - Silver and Blaze's highly energetic sidekick who is surprisingly good with a boomerang.
• Vanilla the Rabbit - Cream's friendly mother who cares for her daughter's safety.
• Big the Cat - a giant and friendly cat who loves to fish and just have a peaceful and relaxing time as Eggman's occupation doesn't help.

Antagonists

• The Eggman Empire, consisting of:
  • Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik - a charismatic, intelligent and vicious technological prodigy who has conquered the world using fighting machines known as the Badniks as he now wants to unlock the elements in order to completely enslave the world.
  • Julian Snively - Eggman's charismatic second in command who is secretly plotting on overthrowing his superior.
  • Orbot and Cubot - Eggman's two robotic assistants who bicker more than they actually help him out.
  • Sleet and Dingo - two cybernetic mercenaries working for Eggman who are skilled hunters and trackers.
  • Metal Sonic - an android version of Sonic developed by Eggman to destroy his genetic template.
  • The Biolizard - Eggman's perfect weapon who is a massive rampaging lizard-like monster.
  • Eggrobo - an extremely intelligent Badnik who is a skilled hunter.
• Imperator Ix - a heartless echidna warrior who despises Knuckles as he believes he is the perfect leader of the Echidna tribe.
  • Shade the Echidna - Ix's slave bride who hates being forced to be his as she wants to break free from his command.

Issues

1. The Origins Pt. 1 - Sonic the Hedgehog decides to join a resistance movement as he reunites with some of his old friends to do this.
2. The Origins Pt. 2 - Sonic and his new allies decide to start a heist on Eggman's chemical plant in order to stop him from mass producing it.
3. Team Chaotix - Sonic meets a detective agency known as the Chaotix as they work together to track down an intelligent Badnik known as the Eggrobo.
4. Lost in the Woods - Sonic and his new rival Tangle both get lost in the woods as they have to work together to stop an Egg Dragon.
5. The Labyrinth - Sonic discovers a hidden underground labyrinth as he decides to explore it.
6. To the Death - Knuckles learns that the remaining Echidna Clan needs a leader as he volunteers, however he has to fight to the death against the sadistic Ix.
7. Metal - Sonic meets his metallic doppelgänger as he has to face off against him.
8. It's Not Like I Like Him That Way - After being asked if she likes Sonic, Amy attempts to prove that she isn’t in love with him.
