Saga of the Batman is an American action cartoon airing on Max since April 19th, 2022, being developed by both former Batman the Animated Series writer Paul Dini and What If director Bryan Andrews.
Synopsis[]
Set in the illustrious yet chaotic city of Gotham, the Batman has been around for two years as he defends Gotham from threats and menaces, ranging from mobsters to superpowered supervillains to the supernatural.

- Bruce Wayne/Batman (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) - the seemingly flamboyant and egotistical owner of Wayne Enterprises who happens to be the mysterious and shadowy vigilante known as the Batman as he defends Gotham from numerous menaces, having developed high-tech weaponry that helps him in combating the dangers that lurk in Gotham.

- Alfred Pennyworth (voiced by David Kaye) - Bruce's kind and loyal butler who raised him since the death of his parents as he is loyal to Bruce's crusade as the Batman, using his many skills that ranges from sewing to chemistry to help Batman out during his missions to spread justice. He also used to be a spy for the British government under the callsign of Beagle-16.
- Lucius Fox (voiced by TBD) - the business manager of Wayne Enterprises and Bruce's best friend and second closest confidant who is fully aware of Bruce being Batman as he is responsible for helping run Wayne Enterprises while Bruce is out on missions as the mysterious Batman, believing Bruce is onto something with this identity.
- Commissioner James Gordon (voiced by Keith David) - the noble commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department who has a mixed opinion on the Batman but often works with him in order to defend Gotham from supervillains and menaces.
- Harvey Bullock (voiced by TBD) - an arrogant and slightly gluttonous yet loyal detective of the GCPD who morally distrusts Batman, but is loyal to Gordon, for which he also works with Batman in solving cases with supervillains, having hated vigilantes ever since one targeted and killed his sister.
- Renee Montoya (voiced by Elizabeth Grullon) - an aggressive yet good-willed captain of the GCPD who is also loyal to Gordon and allied with Batman in defending Gotham from supervillain threats, slowly uncovering how the GCPD is morally corrupt and she is one of the few good cops out there.
- Silver St. Cloud (voiced by TBD) - a flamboyant yet somewhat caring rich philanthropist who is a friend of Bruce and sometimes his date as she loves talking but is also willing to put her life on the line to protect others.
- Jack Ryder (voiced by Chris Parnell) - Gotham City's notorious and noticeably corrupt talk show host who is a massive hater of Batman, often ranting about Batman and the criminal underworld, although it makes him quite a target to numerous supervillains.
- Kirk Langstrom/Man-Bat (voiced by TBD) - a scientist who developed a serum that turns himself into a rampaging bat monster as he attempts to find a cure for his condition but often loses control and causes havoc over Gotham City, with Batman having sympathy for Kirk's condition.
Antagonists[]
- The Joker (voiced by Matthew Mercer) - an insane supervillain and mastermind who just wants to cause chaos and mayhem as his schemes range from either quite silly to extremely dangerous as he becomes Batman's nemesis and one of the few people who absolutely frighten the Batman thanks to his unpredictability.
- Gustaf (voiced by TBD) - an extremely strong circus strongman who works under Joker and his circus-themed henchmen as he is clearly the strongest of his cronies, being capable of lifting cars and other extremely heavy objects.
- Beared Belle (voiced by TBD) - a bearded lady known for her obsession with beauty as she works under the Joker and is given a sledgehammer to fight with, seeing Joker as the one person who treats her like the star she is.
- Fry and Cry (voiced by TBD and TBD, respectively) - a twin brother and sister who are acrobats as they work alongside the Joker's circus-themed henchmen, although they also occasionally bicker over which one of both serves their boss better, causing them to not be in sync.
- Leon (voiced by TBD) - a lion tamer who works under the Joker and his circus as he has two pet lions named Brutus and Primus as he can also use his whip to fight as well.
- Harvey Dent/Two-Face (voiced by TBD) - Bruce's old friend who was once Gotham's top district attorney until he got acid poured on his face, going insane as he believes in duality, believing the only way to truly stop crime is by taking it over, becoming one of Batman's most dangerous and somewhat deranged threats.
- Edward Nygma/The Riddler (voiced by Jack Quaid) - a genius yet egocentric hacker who believes that society is inherently corrupt and that he is doing the world a favor by stealing information and digital cash from the corrupt as he soon becomes an enemy to the Batman, believing that he is in league with high society. He is also obsessed with riddles, making it so that he can't do anything without riddling his next actions.
- Roman Sionis/Black Mask (voiced by Michael Cudlitz) - an anger-prone mob boss who was once the heir to Sionis Steelworks until his father got arrested for trafficking women as he wears a mask and leads the False Face Society, a rising mafia of criminals who all wear some sort of mask to conceal their identities.
- Dr. Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow (voiced by TBD) - a somewhat insane former professor at Gotham University who is a mad scientist that developed a gas that forces people to live through their greatest fears as he wants to experiment with Gotham, seeing them as all lab rats in his grand experiments.
- Salvador "Sal" Maroni (voiced by TBD) - a crime lord and mobster who has a considerable amount of control over Gotham's criminal underworld, being targeted by numerous figures in Gotham's underworld, including the Batman who is attempting to find a way to take down his corrupt empire.
- Slade Wilson/Deathstroke (voiced by TBD) - an experienced and deadly super-soldier mercenary wielding a sword and frightful arsenal of weapons who hunts after those who he is hired to hunt after as he often clashes against Batman in one way or another, being not too hard to defeat.
- Misako Akimoto/The Onryo (voiced by Karen Fukuhara) - a violent and sadistic assassin from Japan who themes herself after a vengeful spirit as she has numerous serums and vials that she uses to poison her enemies and make them suffer, soon being somewhat fascinated with the possibility of killing the Batman.
- Nikos Kronos (voiced by Troy Baker) - a Greek astronaut from the 80s who vanished after finding a strange anomaly as he crash lands in Gotham, having not aged a day and suddenly gaining energy-based powers as he wants to prove himself as a god, with the crash having caused him to become quite insane.
- Otis Flannigan/Ratcatcher (voiced by TBD) - a criminal who stole technology which allows him to communicate with and control rats after being denied seeing his daughter by his wife as he becomes obsessed with being reunited with his daughter, not caring who he has to harm to be with her.
- Cyrus Gold/Solomon Grundy (voiced by Ron Perlman) - a mobster from around 60 years in the past who worked for Vito Maroni until Vito backstabbed him and left him to die in the unknowingly mystic swamp, Slaughter Swamp. Sixty years later, he wakes up as an unkillable zombie beast with one motivation in mind, to destroy the Maroni family, causing him to clash against the Batman.
- Lorelei Circe/The Siren (voiced by TBD) - a seductive yet money obsessed super-criminal who can enslave minds with her siren song, targeting those who are rich and powerful, believing that she deserves all of the money in the world and to be worshipped.
- Constantine Drakon (voiced by TBD) - a flamboyant Greek assassin who is one of the most dangerous men in the world as he arrives in Gotham to target Batman, often clashing with him on multiple occasions, being quite a skilled martial artist.
- Red Claw (voiced by TBD) - a global terrorist and arms dealer known for having contacts throughout all of the criminal underworld as she wants to spread terror and fear as well to make some money, being quite a formidable threat.
