SCP (short for SCP Foundation - Secure. Contain. Protect.) is a 2027 American science fiction horror film directed by The Brothers Strause, produced by Tyler Gillett and James Wan, and executively produced and written by Liam O'Donnell. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Tom Hardy, Tom Holland, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson, Jennifer Lawrence, Mark Strong, James McAvoy, Evangeline Lilly, and Idris Elba. The film follows a team of researchers and operatives as they embark on a mission to secure a particularly dangerous SCP. As they delve deeper into the research and discovery, they begin to uncover secrets and conspiracies that threaten not just their own lives, but the fabric of reality itself.

SCP premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2027, and was released on January 29, 2027. The film received generally positive reviews and positive audience feedback and grossed $250 million worldwide against its budget of $150 million.

Premise[]

A group of research specialists joins forces to contain one of the most dangerous SCPs ever found in a world where the SCP Foundation keeps the existence of strange objects and entities a secret. The group must cooperate in order to contain the SCP and unearth a deeper plot within the Foundation, since the fate of the entire world is at risk. They have to confront their own beliefs and motivations, negotiate rival factions and rogue agents who will stop at nothing to safeguard the SCPs and their secrets, and choose between defending the anomalies and sparing the world from their destructive power.
