Rie Kugimiya (釘宮 理恵 Kugimiya Rie, born May 30, 1979 in Kumamoto, Kumamoto) is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated with I'm Enterprise.
Some of Kugimiya's prominent voice acting roles include the likes of Alphonse Elric in the Fullmetal Alchemist series, Happy in Fairy Tail, Rise Kujikawa in the Persona series, Ronnie Anne Santiago in the Japanese Dubbed Versions of The Loud House and The Casagrandes, Shana in Shakugan no Shana and Kagura in Gintama. However, because of her voicing lead characters such as the likes of Nagi in Hayate the Combat Butler, Iori Minase in almost all kinds of media that can exist within the entirety of THE iDOLM@STER series as a whole, Taiga Aisaka in Toradora! and even, Louise in The Familiar of Zero, many fans and Otakus have nicknamed her "Queen of Tsundere" and "TsundeRie".
Within the entire Tamagotchi fandom itself she is known for her role in the Tamagotchi movies and anime as Mametchi. She has also contributed her voice to various merchandise such as Mugen Puchipuchi Moe, a virtual bubble-wrap popping game, and voiced various characters on a set of moe Karuta cards.
She was nominated for Best Actress in Leading Role in the first Seiyuu Awards for the role of Louise in The Familiar of Zero and for Best Actress in Supporting Role for the role of Kagura in Gintama, and jointly won Best Actress in a Supporting Role with Mitsuki Saiga at the second Seiyu Awards. Kugimiya won Best Actress in the third Seiyu Awards for the roles as Taiga in Toradora! and her work in Nabari no Ou.
