Rebecca Sugar

Rebecca Rea Sugar (born July 9, 1987) is an American animator, composer and director. She is best known for creating the Cartoon Network series Steven Universe, which has made her the first woman to independently create a series for the network. Sugar was formerly a writer and storyboard artist on the animated television series Adventure Time. Her work on Adventure Time and Steven Universe has earned her three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

She is also the writer of Livin' the Life with the Stereotypes and Adriana and Allison as well as the voice director for the second half of the Disney/Ocean Group Re-Dub of Sonic XShe was also the creator of Heart Utopia for CBS, plus The Bumble Nums: It Takes Three and Cereal Squad for Nickelodeon. She was also a co-creator on Jake January and the Calender Force, also for Nickelodeon.
