Quincy is a 1998 animated action adventure film directed by Garrett Fredrickson and Simon Wells.

Quincy was first released in most international countries on November 20th, 1998 by Buena Vista International. It was initially slated to be released in the United States on August 28th, 1998 by Gramercy Pictures, but a corporate restructure at Polygram caused them to drop out of distribution, and Universal Pictures wasn't keen on the movie. Artisan Entertainment expressed interest, but they turned it down in favor of The Blair Witch Project. Eventually, the movie's US distribution rights were picked up by Tristar Pictures, who rescheduled the movie to a July 1999 release. Prior to this, Tristar ordered cuts to be made in order to reduce the runtime; approxamately 8 minutes were cut for the US release.
