J. C. Dayton High School freshman Lance Jamison arrives late for school, and he sees Criasu Corporation vehicles surround the school looking for an AI named Destiny. As the troops come in, Lance fights them, but is outnumbered.

J. C. Dayton High School freshman Rex Wang arrives late to school to realize there is a rift in the space-time continuum, and notices two beings, Destiny and Temporus, fall out of it.

But at the moment a Criasu guard tries to kill Lance at gunpoint, a Future Guardian Buckle and the Red Future Guardian Rangewatch appear, and then Lance initiates the morph sequence and becomes the Red Ranger.
