Popeye: Super Force is an animated television series that will premiere on Cartoon Network sometime in 2017 or 2018. The show revolves around Popeye the Sailor, who battles evil with four other King Features Syndicate superheroes joining him, as well as foiling Bluto's plans to steal Olive Oyl.

Just like the 1930s cartoons and the comic strip, Popeye and related characters (like Olive, Bluto, Swee'Pea, Wimpy, etc.) will retain their roots while trying to intertwine with other storylines from Phantom ,Flash Gordon, Prince Valiant, Mandrake the Magician, and others. Here, Popeye the Sailor, with help from Olive Oyl, Swee'Pea, Eugene the Jeep, and Wimpy, forms an alliance with a gang of King Features Syndicate heroes Flash Gordon and his tiny robot partner Bleeps (the original character of the show), the Phantom, Mandrake the Magician, Lothar, and Prince Valiant as battle villains like Bluto, the Sea Hag, Ming the Merciless, and many more while protecting Olive Oyl from Bluto and helping him search for Poopdeck Pappy.
