Planet Toys is an American computer-animated streaming television miniseries produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Disney Television Animation, airing exclusively on Disney+. It is part of the Toy Story media franchise, and consists of 12 episodes.
Premise[]
During a field trip at a space station, three orphaned children are accidentally rocketed from Earth into space, and teleported by an dimensional wormhole into Planet Toys, an interdimensional planet with life-sized, sentient versions of Earth's toys, including Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and their friends. The children now endure a series of adventures around Planet Toys, while trying to find a way back home.
Voice cast[]
- Benjamin Valic as Lucas, one of the three human protagonists, and one of the three orphans who land on Planet Toys. He owns a toy nerf-wrist gun which becomes a utility bracelet (with capabilities such as a grappling hook, a stunt arrow shooter, etc.) in Planet Toys.
- Haley Tju as Amanda, one of the three human protagonists, and one of the three orphans who land on Planet Toys. She is also Mr. Max's owner.
- Jacob Tremblay as Sam, one of the three human protagonists, and one of the three orphans who land on Planet Toys. He is the youngest of the three. He owns a toy RC car which grows big and becomes a action car in Planet Toys. Tremblay previously voiced the titular protagonist of the Disney+ Pixar film Luca.
- Patton Oswalt as Mr. Max, Amanda's plush dog who comes to life on Planet Toys. Oswalt previously voiced Remy in Ratatouille.
- Jim Hanks as Sheriff Woody, one of the main toy protagonists. He is the town sheriff of the Old West City, and a mentor for the orphans.
- Patrick Warburton as Buzz Lightyear, one of the main toy protagonists. He is the leader of the Space Toy Command, the space police force of Planet Toys, and a mentor for the orphans.
- Kath Soucie as Bo Peep, Woody's lover and a shepherd in the planet's Enchanted Grounds.
- Kat Cressida as Jessie, Buzz's lover and Woody's surrogate sister who helps Woody with law enforcement.
- Frank Welker (vocal effects) as:
- Bullseye, Jessie's loyal and playful pet horse who enjoys her company.
- Red, a large red toy T-Rex who is Woody's sidekick, and Rex's older brother.

- Slinky Dog, a dog-slinky hybrid who is a friend of Woody and Buzz.
- Force Field Dog, Slinky's evil doppelgänger who is one of One Eyed Bart's henchmen, with the ability to project forcefields.
- Wallace Shawn as Rex, a gentle and rather eccentric tyranossaurus who is an ambassador of the Land That Time Forgot.

- Dolly, a doll who resides in the Enchanted Grounds, and is Bo Peep's neighbor.

- Tony Hale as Forky, a homemade toy who runs a trash factory. Unlike his counterpart, he does not suffer from the existential crisis which caused him to think himself as trash, although he does feel looked away by fellow toys.
- Jerome Ranft as Wheezy, a squeaky toy penguin and a friend of Woody.
- Ranft also voices the original Wheezy from Toy Story 2. Donated by Andy prior to the events of Toy Story 3, Wheezy is now a toy residing in the orphanage where Lucas, Amanda and Sam came from, and frequently reminds Mr. Max that no Toy should come to life when humans are present.

- David Kaye as Lots-O'-Huggin' "Lotso" Bear, a plush hot pink teddy bear with a big plum nose, and a strawberry scent who resides in the Enchanted Grounds as Bo Peep's neighbor. Also contrary to his counterpart's role in Toy Story 3, this version is not an antagonist, and has a more sympathetic personality.
- Wayne Knight as Emperor Zurg, Buzz's arch-enemy and a tyrannical space emperor and conqueror.
- Jeff Pidgeon as the Little Green Men (or L.G.M.), a series of green, three-eyed squeaky toy aliens who are residents of Alien City. The most prominent L.G.M. consist of:
- Bobby, who works as the mission control of Space Toy Command.
- Monty, who serves as a recon officer.
- Piotr Michael as Sarge, the gung-ho commander of green army men.

Three young orphans, Lucas, Amanda, and Sam, attend to a field trip in the city's Space Station, until they begin to run away from bullies wanting Amanda's plush dog Mr. Max. They hide in a rocket which is accidentally taken off, and flies towards a wormhole. The children end up stranded on Planet Toys, a planet filled with human-sized, sentient toys. They are soon retrieved by the planet's police force the Space Toy Command, led by Buzz Lightyear, although the children also end up losing their toys along the way. As the engineers work to repair the damaged rocket, Buzz agrees to help the children retrieve their toys before the Rogue Toys (including Emperor Zurg and Doctor Porkchop) can find and obtain them. They succeed after defeating Zurg's minions and Porkschop's henchmen. The children agree to take shelter on Old West City under the protection of Sheriff Woody and Jessie. There, Amanda is surprised when Mr. Max comes to life in front of her.

- Due to budget issues and schedule conflicts, Woody, Bo Peep, Jessie, Ken and Mr. Pricklepants are voiced by soundalikes in this miniseries.
- Jim Hanks (brother of Woody's original voice actor Tom Hanks) reprises his role from the Toy Story video games.
- Same extends to Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head due to Don Rickles's and Estelle Harris's passings in 2017 and 2022 respectively, and Lotso due to Ned Beatty's retirement in 2013 and consequent passing in 2021.
- However, Buzz and Zurg have their voice actors from Buzz Lightyear of Star Command reprising their roles.

- Variants of the "Pixar Ball" appear multiple times in the miniseries.
