Pikmin 1+2 HD Collection (or simply just "Pikmin 1+2") is an HD remaster collection of "Pikmin" and "Pikmin 2". The first two titles were made for Nintendo Gamecube, then ported over to the Wii. But now, both titled are ported over to Nintendo Switch in glorious 1080p high definition.

NEW FEATURES[]

  • Unlike the original and Wii version of "Pikmin" and "Pikmin 2", both games now add in a "Reset Day" option in the main menu. This can allow you to plan out how you want to go about your day.
  • Both games feature 2-player mode instead of just "Pikmin 2".
  • In "Pikmin 2", ALL Pikmin and both captains go further down or leave altogether. No need to worry about them being seperated. No Pikmin is left behind.
  • "Pikmin 2" now features local 2-player split-screen co-op for Story Mode.
  • Both remastered ports use smarter AI. This allows the Pikmin (regardless of what level they are on) to always follow you. In "Pikmin 2", if they collect berries, they can come right back to you like in "Pikmin 3".
  • All Pikmin have been modified for both remastered versions.
    • In "Pikmin", the yellow Pikmin originally couldn't survive electricity (due to the original game's limitations). And surprisingly, they couldn't pick up bombs in "Pikmin 2". For the remastered version of "Pikmin", Yellow Pikmin are immune to electricity and can pick up bomb rocks.
    • In the remastered version of "Pikmin", the red and blue Pikmin can carry bomb rocks just as easily as the yellow Pikmin. In fact, unlike the original version of "Pikmin 2", all the Pikmin can carry bomb rocks in the remastered version of the sequel.
  • A soundtrack area for listening to tunes from the whole trilogy.
