Phantom Investigators is an American animated supernatural horror mystery action comedy television series based on the original series by Stephen Holman and Josephine T. Huang and created by Mae Whitman for Sony Toons. The show revolves around four teenagers with supernatural abilities. Their group is known as The Phantom Investigators, or "P.I." for short. Together, they help solve supernatural mysteries that occur all over the world. The series received universal acclaim from critics for its animation, visuals, humor, voice acting, storytelling, writing, darker tone, horror elements, improved characterization, editing, action sequences, musical score and emotional depth, considered by many critics to be a significant improvement over the original series. The series premiered on January 6, 2022 and ended on May 9, 2024 with a theatrical film released on April 4, 2025.
